Hello everyone,
I know this has been discussed before but what is the name of the CM at the TOT that always appears in the promo's. The creepy guy with the thin moustache. Is he a current CM at DHS, and what are my chances of meeting him when he's working? Meeting the characters is great for my better half and the kids, but to get my photo with this guy would be my ultimate experience at WDW.

Yea, I know who you are talking about. I think he has been working there for a while, like a long time. I had bought a vhs tape of WDW back in like 2002 or something, and on the vid ToT was in its 3rd revamp and the TJ man guy was there during that segment and he looked alot younger. Ive also seen him on the travel channel specials, and have personally seen him a few times. If Im not mistaken, I think he may have been a bellhop when Family Matters or one of those shows was shooting down there back in the late 90s. Oh wait, nah, I dont think that was him, not on the family matters episode, it may have been step by step, but I dont know. Either way, he's a great ToT CM.

Yep, he is still there. You'll usually catch him in the morning and early afternoon. He has been there since the Tower opened, and was a Disney CM for many years before that.

He's a very friendly person, so if you see him, and he's not busy, he'd probably be happy to talk to you or take a picture with you.

We love TJ!!! He always remembered us every year because we'd stop and talk and take a pic with him whenever we went on ToT. He is very friendly, and very good at what he does. I just saw him when I was watching the behind the scenes of WDW on the travel channel the other night.

I remember seeing him last summer when I rode ToT for the first time. I walked past him to board the ride and sat down wondering where I saw him before. I thought he was very good, playing the part and all. It wasn't until I got home and watched one of the WDW vacation DVDs did I see him again and realize that this is where I saw him before!

Hints for meeting/seeing TJ at ToT:

He does not work Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays (typically, anyway).

On Tuesdays, his job is to wander the park and interact with guests, so you might see him almost anywhere on Sunset and Hollwood Blvd in particular.

Tip: If you see TJ out and about on a Tuesday, ask him for a tour of the ToT lobby. It's great and he's an excellent tour guide. He'll even pose for pictures with his famous creepy grin.

I miss working at the Tower and with TJ back in 2003. He was one of my trainers and made my whole experience at ToT an amazing one. Whenever I am in the area I try and go back and see him. Yes he has been there since the beginning and was a very integral part to the creation of the ride (more than most people realize). If anyone has any questions please feel free to send them my way via private message :)
