Hi guys. Sorry for disappearing earlier. DS does have an ear infection, so I had to run to the pharmacy to pick up his antibiotic so DH could get him home and in bed. Poor little guy. I hate when they're miserable!!
Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!

Hi Kristin!
I'm in and out. . .doing some things in Photoshop.
Going out this evening. . .a dinner date with my Sweetie! :D

Sorry about your wee one. :(
Hope he's feeling better soon.
How old is he?

Hi Dot! He just turned 2 in August. He's just miserable today. :(
I'm in and out, too.

Have a great dinner date!! (Date? What's a date? Oh yeah, we used to go on them before we had kids... )

Not a stupid question at all, although I'm not the best person to answer. We usually take bus transportation to the Boardwalk Resort or the Friendship boat which you can get just outside the gates of MGM.

And to add to this, you can park at the Boardwalk if you are going there to "eat".

or, you can walk to there from EPCOT's Intl Gateway.

Great! Thanks for the help! I've never been and wanted to go this year!

Oh he's still so small. . .poor little one.

Yes! A real honest-to-goodness-get-dressed-up kind of date!
It's not just the two of us, but I'll take it! :D

Well, duh, I forgot about actually driving there! :hammer:
We do that often too. They just ask for picture ID at the gate as you're driving in.

Great! Thanks for the help! I've never been and wanted to go this year!

You're welcome!
And hi! My name is Dot!

Hi Dot, my name's Kristi! :wave:Haha driving hadn't crossed my mind, mainly because we stay on property and once we arrive in DW we don't drive again until we leave...but that's very helpful because I certainly don't mind driving there.

Hi Kristi!
We have AP's this year, so, since parking is free for passholders, we drove to the parks and anywhere else we wanted to go on property. I don't really have a problem with WDW transportation though. At this stage of the game, it's just my DH (George) and I. If I were lugging around kids and strollers and all of that, I might feel differently.

That is me. I hate talking to people I don't know. I even have problems on the phone.:o

Oh me too!!

:ROFLOL:

OT:

A big package arrived here yesterday.
Ken's Texas relatives (there's a rather large group in Wautaugh who can't make it to the wedding) sent a box full of beautifully wrapped gifts and at least 10 cards. Lauren was so excited when I called her and told her!

Yay!!

The Boardwalk is awesome and is truly "Disney's best kept secret".

Yes it is.

Yeah, I just find it handy haha. It's usually my family (twin sisters, parents, myself and a friend or two) so there is alot of us... well just 6 but I still find it easier to use the disney transportation. The only downfall I think is the wait, but it's something that's not a big deal and something that's going to be a given...it's a bus that can only hold so many and with so many people staying a one resort it's gonna happen. But I love to take the opportunity to take the boats whenever possible!

Hi Kristi, I'm Kristin!
Hi Joanna! I have a question for you regarding Christmastime in WDW; you have been there for Christmas, right? We have ADR's at the Crystal Palace at 3:45 on Christmas Eve. I've read that Christmas Eve and Day usually get so crowded at MK that they close it?? (I can not even imagine!) We are staying on property, so if they close will we know it? Also what time should we get there to avoid being disappointed? Thanks.

We love taking the boats, especially in the evening after a long day in the parks. . .it's so relaxing!

Wow Kristin! Christmas at WDW! I know it's probably insane there, but I'd love to be there that week. Last year we went the week before and loved it! We'd never been at Christmastime at all, and it's just so amazing! We may, possibly, go back the week before Christmas again this year, or around that time, in order to get one last use out of our AP's. I hope so!

Yup, I was there last year. That is true. The MK can be closed on Christmas due to being so full. Usually it gets closed around 11am, or even earlier. I don't know how/if they let people at the resorts know (I stayed off-site). But I would imagine the people in parking let people know the park is full. And I would get there at opening, or at the latest before 11am.

I myself am in a stinky mood...Em's "friend" at kindergarten tol her not to follow her all the time at recess because she might want to play with other kids...is it wrong to wish ill fortune on a 6 year old?

We should be hearing from a certain young Canadian on this one sometime soon.
I don't know, Canada's looking pretty good about now, eh?

Let's pretend, again, that I bothered to read this thread, rather than skimming the first page or two from my last post then skipping to the last page.
Okay?
Perfect.
