You enter the back nook, and are directed to a touch-screen computer table...

I like this attraction!

Me too. And this new wave of Innovention attractions should be the model for all of Future World. Rather than mega sponsors, I think it would be better to have multiple sponsors per pavilion creating more diverse attractions. I think this would create a much more interesting showcase of emerging and futuristic technologies.

They are doing everything right in Innoventions by attracting so many new sponsors and compelling and fun attractions. Well done TDO. :)

But many things in Innoventions are really for kids (i.e. Wheres the fire), luckily, this attraction is not. If there were to spread this new wave of style and showcase into the other pavilions, I would hope it would attract both adults and kids, not just kids.

I've always said that Innoventions could and should be a premier attraction for EPCOT. I'm liking the direction they are taking here. :D

You swipe you card at your table. You are then given your choice of designing a roller coaster, jet, or bobsled ride. I chose roller coaster. In honor of CommuniCore, of course. You are given a choice of maneuvers for each segment of the ride. Once you've selected one, you modify it using the tools provided. On the left side sits a ruler, which you move to a certain spot, and move your finger up and down alongside it to change the height of the maneuver. On the right is a that you move to another spot and twist to change the speed. You play around with these to make sure it's not too fast, too slow, too high, or too short. Once you're done, you get to choose a name for your design. I couldn't help but notice this was remarkably similar to how you picked a name for your robot design in the Fantastic Plastic Works, the previous exhibit in this location. From there you are directed by a Cast Member to a certain staircase. You only get five minutes to design your ride, which is pretty quick I think. Doesn't really give you enough time to play around with it, try things out, and enjoy it. I understand it for capacity reasons, of course. I can't help but wonder if they rearranged things around a bit, that they could improve that aspect. Get rid of the Briefing Room, and install much more computer tables, and watch the video and design your ride there.

Once you reach the top and a host approaches you, you're taken to a locker to put loose items in, and they swipe your card to input your design.

The actual ride is fun! No impressive screen or computer graphics or anything, but a blast nonetheless. And again, kind of necessarily short. They do put emphasis on the fact that you go upside down, and ask you at least twice if that's okay. The card they give you, you get to keep, and has a website listed where you can go and design even more rides. Overall, a very worthy addition to EPCOTs science and technology pavilion!

DMC-12

It's HarmonioUS, NOT HarmoniYOU.
Inside you watch this video explaining what you'll do, the basic concepts of math and physics involved, and of course plug Raytheon. This was the only thing about the venue that I didn't like. It's a terrible video. Bad script, bad actors, and it really talks down to you. It treats you like more of an idiot than Judi Dench does.

Thank you sir... for making me LOL... now I cant wait to see/hear it!:lol::sohappy:

Mr. EPCOT - Great update so far! As for the radio station, I think it was Magic 107.7, but I could be wrong. There also was a guy & his film crew rehearsing something behind the champagne glass centerpiece. I think it was the Travel Channel...

Oh, as for the MIA whirlygig:

Oh, it's that blue. And it does indeed have the 3-4 scratched Lucite blocks. :lookaroun:lol:

I believe it was purple back around the Millennium. I guessed it was painted back in 2006-2007.
