Expedition Everest opening date

Ok so i dont want to be a pest but i have one of the usual questions, sorta.

So my question is, will disney announce a specific day that Expedition Everest will officially open on? And what is a educated guess on how far ahead they will announce?

You lie. I talked to Joe yesterday and he tod me it opens Tuesday. They are just waiting for the concrete around the reactor core to dry.

WILL disney announce a SPECIFIC date, im not asking for you to tell me when it will open. Or will they just say "sometime in June" and open it when they feel like it.

And how far ahead of the actual opening date will they probobly annouce its opening. Basically, how far before a ride opens does disney usually announce a ride's opening date.

Although I realize you are not asking for the date when Everest will open, but rather when they will announce that date, the answer is similar to what Thrawn linked you to above. There is no set date for the ride to open yet, so when Disney will announce that opening date is unknown. Once they start soft openings, that will probably be the best time for them to determine an official opening date and the ceremony surrounding it. At that time, Disney will release to the press the date and time of the opening ceremony and then we'll know too That won't be happening until at least 2006 though.

They'll announce a grand opening date, no doubt, but will, of course, have soft openings for perhaps several weeks before.

it will officailly open earth day... 2005.. however due to tehcniall dificulties it wont open until earthday 2007... lol

Normall Passholder Previews are 2 weeks before the offical opening, but for mission space it was 2 weeks before the soft opening. so...who knows.

I think it is very safe to say that it will soft open well before Earth Day/DAK's 7th B-day (April 22, 2005), which may very well be the official opening. My bet is that it will be fully opperational by Easter and be up and running consistantly no later than February. With the first guests on it in January.

If you're visiting WDW next summer it will be open...
And YES... they will announce it, the even have a commercial already made for it...

January seems really soon. Almost comically so. From what I have heard from my AK source, they want it to officially open on Earth Day or Ak's birthday (dates above). It still has a long way to go. The photos only show the outside. I highly doubt anyone will be on it before April. There- my two cents. =D
