First off good luck and congrats.

Second you can contact Disney so they can offer you some other ideas, but that will cost you. Maybe have a Glass Slipper delivered with the ring inside.

Third you can always have her room decorated when she gets back to it. Flowers and Stuffed Animals are a good choice maybe her favorite character as well.

Best time to do it is during Wishes when Tinkerbell flies down and start the whole show, that is when I would do it.

My friend proposed to his Girlfriend in Fantasy land, in front of the sword in the stone. There is some circular stonework in the ground and he proposed in the middle of this stonework. So now he will always know the exact spot he popped the question.

Really any location in WDW is great. Like in Epcot near the fountains. Or on the Jungle cruise, think about it "Honey I do not think we are going to survive those restless natives up ahead. So I wanted to ask you something."

I kinda thought about getting the whole dinner treat in the castle but try and see if they could make it as if we had won it, if you get me and then propose in the castle. The other idea i had was getting down on 1 knee outside the castle infront of everyone and proposing to her. lol i want the best day i can make it. wonder if the mad hatter could help sayin as she loves him??

I proposed to my wife in front of the castle... at one of the benches in the center circle. I really didn't add any fanfare to it or propose during a show. I wanted the proposal to focus attention on her, and for us, it was very magical...... until someone interrupted the moment with a "Can you take our picture" ultimately that was a funny side-story.

Seriously.... I don't know what the two of you are like in real life, so plan on a setting that fits with your personalities.

after proposing to my wife.....not at disney....she told me that everything was perfect, but I could have done it anyway and she still would have been shocked, amazed, and it be the best day of her life.

I am sure anything you decide to do will be awesome to her. Sometimes us guys forget that it means more that its coming from the heart and not so much on what goes on around it.

Check out the proposal section, lots of good ideas there. One was just posted about using the wishing well......thats an awesome idea that still incorporates the castle.

Good luck and congrats.

Congrats!!!!.....

my Fiance and I got engaged this past September in WDW...here are two ideas for you. one I did use, and one I did not use.

The one I did not use is to take a carriage ride over at Port Orleans Riverside or Fort Wilderness. Buy a Bottle of wine and some chocolate covered strawberries...take an ride as the sun sets it is awsome.

The One I did use was that we took a walk around the World Showcase @ Epcot. Her and I have always loved the atmosphere of the french pavillion. When we got to France we walked over into the gardens just before Illuminations started. There I got down on one Knee and asked her to Marry Me. I also arranged for my brother to hide and snap photos of the whole thing so we could have them. After that we watched Illuminations and had a celebrations that was pre-arranged @ the Yactsman Steakhouse with our family.

Now this August we are headed back to WDW For the wedding at the Boardwalk and reception at, Of Course, the French Pavillion.

Best of Luck!!!!!

First, Congratulations!!!:sohappy:

The best suggestion I could give you is to try and have a semi-private moment, and not do it in front of a huge crowd or family. This should be a moment for the 2 of you to remember, and not a crowd of strangers. Just my 2 cents!

When she isn't looking, hide the ring at the bottom of her Dole Whip float. Make sure she doesn't drink it too fast, and she will be completely blown away once she realizes that the object stuck at the bottom of her straw is a 3 karat diamond engagement ring.

Here's an idea

Have you thought about doing it during the Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party? You could give her the idea of going in matching costumes, like a bride and groom? Then tell her she looked so perfect, that she needs to do it again, like on your wedding day.... or something like that...

CONGRATS and Good Luck!!!!!

First off, congrats.

Second, I have a few idas about what you can do. Personally, I made the mistake of mentioning several ideas around my fiance (before I had planned on proposing at WDW) so I was not able to use any of them. So here it goes.

The first idea is that there is a small wishing well along the path between the castle and the area right by Cosmic Rays. Tell her that to make her wish come true, she has to close her eyes, turn her back to the fountain and toss the coin in over her shoulder. While she has her eyes closed, you get down on one knee, and when she opens her eyes you say "now that you've made your wish, I was hoping you could make my wish come true... will you marry me?"

Second idea, (this is the way I proposed) the Rose Garden is off to the right of the castle (on the way into tommorowland). They almost always have a photopass photographer there. Just before the photographer takes the picture, say "hold on I have one more thing to do". Get down and propose. It surprises her because she doesn't expect THEN to be the time and it gives you a chance to get some GREAT pictures. Just do yourself a favor and warn the photographer if you can. I didn't get a chance to and shocked the heck out of the photographer. She ended up getting some great photos though.

Just a few thoughts....

I think you should do it at the princess room at Magic Kingdom. You can make arrangements ahead of time to have cinderella or another princess to ask your girlfriend if she has a prince. That's where you come in, and propose. You can get a lot of nice pictures there. what ever you decide please post a picture so we can all see. thank you

Take a firework cruise in Epcot. Get a nice bottle of wine and watch the fireworks and then do your thing.

Do it on the beach at the Poly at night with all the tiki torches lit.

Do it on your guys fav. ride lol

I still think the best one is infront of the castle. or wishing well

If should be something unexpected. Shock her. A romantic cruise or dinner are awesome but may give it away.

You said she likes the Mad Hatter....why not call Disney and have a Mad Hatter come out and meet you somewhere?

Or...not sure if Disney would allow this or not (prob not--it's not the Brady Bunch) but it would be cool if you pretended to go back to the resort for something and return to her dressed as the Mad Hatter....then you can hand her a ring in front of the teacups and reveal who you are. That would be a cool memory.:)

I proposed to my wife in front of the Walt Disney/Mickey Mouse statue in MK. I thought how appropriate that the man who brought us so close together should be in the backdrop of the proposal. You are right in front of the castle and have all of the lush greenery surrounding you. Just a perfect spot.
