China Movie

They did add some new footage to the China Circlevision 360 movie recently. Adding some new footage of Shanghai and Hong Kong. Though the footage of Tian an men square is quite old since the people you see in it are still wearing those old blue Chairman Mao era clothing. The movie I think is about 18 minutes long, I believe the replaced about 4 of those minutes. The section when the movie features Gui lin from the Li river is my favorite sequence. I have had the opportunity to visit China about 10 years ago and this sequence does do Gui lin justice.

My opinion is keep the oldies but renovate or improve them. IASW is a good example. I personally love the 360 theatres in world showcase. My family is split on which ones they like. I go to all of them each trip, and those that choose to come in with me do, while the others browse the shops. Toon Town could use a redo. It's nice to meet some characters privately. But 1 or 2 attractions in the same area with maybe a semi thrill feel to it would be nice. Ellen is wearing out her welcome I think. I'm sure they have plans layed out for renovations and remodeling of projects for the next few years. There are some things I refuse to go in or on also, I just tend to avoid them as a whole. I personally don't like Dumbo, but would never think of having them remove it. Different strokes for everyone.

While Snow White could use an upgrade, it's a classic and should remain.

I guess I'm one of the few that likes UoE - it's not Horizons or WoM, but it's a nice place to sit down and relax and watch a rather amusing show. Epcot is starting to feel so...themeparkish to me. M:S and TT are five-minute experiences, and they exculde a lot of people (especially the former).

The films in Epcot are invisible to me - I haven't sat through them since I was a kid. In this day of Discovery Channel and the like it's really no big deal to see footage fromn other countries, even in such nice presentations.

ToonTown serves a vital purpose - attracting all the kids and families away from the real rides. It should stay.

Indy can be flushed, it's a tired show. I think many more guests would enjoy an Indy ride, and Walt knows an E-ticket on that side of the park is what's needed.

i have to come out in defense of Energy here, it is, and has always been my favorite Epcot attraction. I loved it as a kid.
The dinosaurs lifted from Primeival World/Fantasia look terrific in a fully fleshed out setting, and their new brighter colors make the whole sequence 'pop'. Before the Ellen rehab, the movie portions were ok, but too slow moving to convey the sense of 'energy'. But i love the new films. The 'dawn of the universe' sequence wherein you shoot through space as the big bang is happening and crash down on an ancient earth is terrific! I generally go on Energy at least twice each trip. Rehab it if you'd like, but don't get rid of it!

I like the UoE too, think it was great when they rehabed it with Ellen and Alex Trebeck, much more interesting and fun, while still being educational. I personally feel that too many educational rides have been sacrificed already for thrill rides with no point. If I just wanted thrill rides, I'd go to UO or IOA or Great Adventure in NJ this way I'd not have to pay hotel or airfare.

The whole idea of disney is that it is a family park that the entire family can enjoy a ride together. Just because you don't go on a ride doesn't mean it needs to be replaced. If that were the case, I'd have to say get ride of ToT, MS, SM and any simulator ride like Star Tours.

You really doing a dis-service to yourself by missing out on "Impressions De France". The music and the footage are so well syncronized. The music alone makes it worth a stop. Plus, it's good for a 15 minute seated rest.

I'd like to see an Adventureland makeover. I think that even including the classic Pirates (which is contained in its own Caribbean Plaza subdivision of Adventureland), Adventureland is the least enticing of the original "Lands" in the Kingdom. After Pirates of the Caribbean, you have Swiss Family Treehouse, Aladdin's Magic Carpets, Tiki Birds and Jungle Cruise. This area just comes up way short compared to the rest. (I'm not including the toontown area since there has never been more than one real attraction built there -meet and greets are not attractions!) Does anybody strongly disagree here? Is Adventureland anyone's favorite area for attractions? Yeah, the plant life is probably the prettiest in the park - I'll grant you that, but we're talking about attractions.

I also love the France film, it is beautiful and a real shame if people dont stop to see it. Not that I dont like the Canada or China movies, but wish they were done more like France. After walking around all day the last thing I want to do is stand and watch a movie for 20 minutes. The footage they show is wonderful, just wish I could sit and watch.

With the exception of the Tower of Terror ad on World Drive, all the stuff you listed has an audience. You're just not it.

Snow White is a great way to train kids on "thrill rides," because for a lot of little ones, Snow White IS a thrill ride. I know, I know, some of you are scarred for life because of it, but a lot of kids go on it and feel a sense of accomplishment for having lived through it, and want to do it again to prove how big and brave they are. That's why the line is usually so long. Today's Snow White rider is tomorrow's Space Mountain maniac.

Toontown Fair? Love it! LOVE IT! Or rather, I love the fact that it's there. I barely go in it, because it's filled with families with kids who'd otherwise be in my way everywhere else

Ellen's Energy Adventure?...OK, I fell asleep on this one. Twice. But other people seemed to be enthralled by it, so who am I to judge?

The World Showcase films & the Indy Stunt Show are great for people who, either because they're nervous types or physically incapacitated, can't do many of the thrill rides. It's also great for people who might be travelling with kids and not have someone they can switch off, OR their kids flip out too much if that particular grownup isn't around. (For the record, I've never seen the Stunt Show, but really enjoy the WS films).

I would assume that, if an attraction needs to go, it's because people aren't frequenting that attraction anymore. Besides, there are plenty of people who don't go to WDW that often, who might not go ANYWHERE too often, who aren't burned out on those rides. To suggest a ride needs to go because YOU'RE over it is sadly and shockingly self-centered.

1.) I think Snow White is a classic, but really could use some freshening up. Maybe not a big change, but some subtle additions to make it more enjoyable for all.

2.) Although I really could think of a lot better uses for Toon Town Fair , (like 3 or 4 thrill rides) , the kids all love it, and I love it too for that reason alone. I love seeing the excitment in these kids faces as they wait on line to see Mickey or Minnie. Hey, isn't that what these parks are all about?

3.) Believe it or not I have never seen Ellen's Energy Adventure, so I wont make any comments about it.

4.) Canada, France and China... These movies should, maybe, be redone? I think make it more appealing to younger kids , but be equally as enjoyable to the older adults. I think the educational aspect of the movies is great though..

5.) The Indy stunt show, is one that you can see only once. After the first time, it tends to lag a bit, but I remember how enjoyable it was for me to see it for the first time. I wouldnt want to deprive anyone else.

6.) Honey I shrunk the .. The franchise is dead, minimally popular..I have to say this is one attraction that should be replaced.

7.) I must say that I love the 3-D signs. It's something you don't see everyday, and they are really fun to look at. Besides, they get you excited when you see them.

1.)Indiana Jones and the backlot of doom. Yea I like it, but could they make the current sets like a walkthrough type thing and history of the franchice, with props, etc...and make a good..uh I dunno.."jeep ride" on that property where the theater is and such.

2.) Star Tours....just needs something new.. simulator or not...something new

3.) Everyone "loves" it..my butt, but move the mgm hat elswhere and off with the wand and stars on SSE.

4.) Goodbye Indy Speedway, you're not even the autopia, your realestate is valuable to tomorrowland.

5.)Universe of Energy...I liked the atmosphere of the old ride. It could be spruced up and updated/upgraded rescoring the original theme songs, but of course not making the rideas boring as it was to many from 1982-1996.

6.) Honey I shrunk the franchise... needs to DISAPPEAR.

7.) bring back the dreamfinder

8.) The enchanted tiki room under a hostage situation...disneyland just reopened up their restored original version...we deserve that....again

I agree with this one. That sign is the one that my parents and I have looked for the past several years that we have been to WDW. It is the essential sign that we really are there, and we aren't just in the middle of some very strange group dream.

As for the HISTK playground, I loved it as a child. Absolutely loved it. If they'd let me, I'd still go in and play (I love that sort of thing, but I'm a mite too big to now). I don't think it needs to be gotten rid of altogether, just maybe spiffed up a bit. And if you do remove it, put something else similar in, because otherwise you will have small children climbing on everything :brick:
