The track type doesn't have anything to do with delaying the attraction, the switch tracks don't either. RnR uses the same switch track as Everest. Having a switch track doesn't affect the ride any different than any other coaster with brake blocks. When the coaster track is divided into regions and no train can enter a region that is already occupied by another train. The turntable on mummy is probably a bigger problem than the vekoma switch tracks because it takes longer to turn the train around 180 degrees, than have the track flip and the train rides back through it. I bet the train won't even stop longer than a two seconds on the EE track switch.
