There are people of all walks of life at these resorts - there may be those clearly well to do and not afraid to make sure everyone knows it, and those that let their kids climb the WL totem poles. Most of us fit somewhere in between!!!

I know I would fit in. Not really concerned about others when I stay somewhere. Maybe one day my wife and I can have a chance to stay in one. However with having 5 kids its hard to justify putting that much money into a room that we will not be spending that much time in.

Maybe one day. Just not today. LOL.

We've stayed at a few, and the only one I felt that way in was the GF. My kids were young then, and we'd do parks from opening 'til closing. We'd come back at night, looking like 4 disheveled refugees, and make our way to our room through a group of very well-dressed, perfect make-up, not-a-hair-out-of-place guests who no doubt spent the day at the spa or whatever...
Good times!

We have always stayed at Deluxes and I have never had any worries about this and I didn't encounter anyone that would give me reason to think this way. There are so many different people from all over and all types. No, don't worry about it. Have fun and enjoy yourself!

BUT the only main difference between deluxe and moderate is location and convenience. Sure, the deluxes have more dining options but the rooms look so close. People pay the extra money to be able to be on the monorail loop, or to be able to walk to Epcot/DHS.

Walking to Epcot is a very nice perk!

we have been lucky... since it's just my wife and I we would rather have 35% off our room then use free dining so it really helps us stay at the deluxe resorts. We have been lucky getting pins and discounts. This march we're actually traveling with another couple so we figure save money with a pin and split a room. But these are the realities of not having kids.

Good times!

When we stayed there a few years ago my husband overheard a woman explaining the Perfectly Princess Tea to her daughter as "just like we have at our house in the Hamptons". That's when he decided he did not want to stay there anymore.
