Ever wonder why the Mouse doesn't have a hotel dedicated to him?

I don't see why not. There are four other signature suites in the Disneyland Hotel that are seriously cool. They cost thousands of dollars a night to stay in.

Fairy Tale Suite:

The Mickey Suite is definitely amazing, but I'll take the Thunder Suite.:inlove:
That Mickey penthouse has a lot of red and black and is a wee bit too modern for me.

But those suites! Honestly couldn't figure out if I loved Fairy Tale or Big Thunder more! I think Fairy Tale...but it's close! Adventureland looks wonderful, as well!

Wow, those look nice. But not worth thousands...well, not to me. If I were wealthy, though...I'd stay there!

I agree, I'd pick any of the suites over the Mickey room.

Give me the Thunder room just for that tub haha! The beds look very comfortable. If only....

There are videos of walkthroughs of the row on YouTube. I agree, I wouldn't save thousands of dollars just to spend one night. If I was rich, it'd be a different story.:D

I would just be happy to have classic cartoons available on in room channels or even repeats of The Wonderful World of Disney. Sooooo can't stand the Disney Channel:banghead:

Amen! I was born in thr early 90's, but I remember watching Zorro, the Mickey Mouse Club, The Wonderful World of Color, Disneyland, etc. when I was a child. That was when the Disney Channel actually aired these shows (the segment was called Vault Disney... I remember it like it was yesterday). I took my little nephew to see the classic Zorro movie at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank a few years ago. Guy Williams' family was there... His wife asked if I ever watched the show and I told her I watched it faithfully every Saturday and Sunday morning, and any other time I could stay up late. My nephew? He never even heard of Zorro before that day.

I have practically begged Disney Channel to air the classics again... Still haven't heard back for them, and I'm sure I never will.

Okay, back on topic.:)

I would absolutely love a Toon Town. They should make it a land within the magic kingdom. Have a resort next to it all toonified. And have a special entrance from the resort into the Magic Kingdom through Toon Town. It would be a great experience. A ton of toons walking around, a few M&G's sprinkled in but mostly just toons walking around interacting with the guests and eachother. a HUGE ACME store with gag gifts and ACME merchandise. A ton of interactive props like ropes and street props to pull on that activate sounds and sights. and possibly pull gags on other guests like blow smoke out at them from a steam pipe, or sprinke water on them from a watering pot above and so on. Cmon Disney hire me to build Toon Town and its adjoining resort. :)

Since Mickey is how it all got started, there is no need to oversaturate anything with his moniker. I love Mickey and keeping him the "celebrity" keeps the magic alive. It is extra special when I see Mickey at WDW. He is a treasure and he doesn't need his own themed hotel.
A Dog themed hotel would be cool, though. A dog themed hotel for humans. Disney has had several dogs in their movies...it would be interesting. And yes, it might be cuter for actual dogs...

Well, considering the deal netflix inked with DIsney gives them access to a good chunk of Disney's libraries as well as newer movies once Disney's deal with Starz expires, you might have better luck contacting Netflix about the sorts of archived Disney programming you'd love to be able to access. I had been thinking how great it would be if there were a 24 hour "Vault DIsney" channel the same way Nick at Nite eventually spun off into TV Land way back when. Now I suspect the Netflix deal might wind up being comparable.

Yes, I sure have. Especially in the Values.

I've also wondered why themed Mickeys don't hang out in the hotel lobbies, or just walk the halls of the hotels. It just can't cost that much and people would love it!
I don't know if we just got lucky or if this is more common but rarely mentioned, but in December of 2008 my wife and I went to have lunch at the Contemporary after touring MK. We had our baby girl with us asleep in her car seat. We go down an escalator and we see a line of people. We peek around a corner and there was Mickey Mouse. To this day I don't know why he was there (not near Chef Mickey's). He was in a tux so I suspect he had been hired for a private affair and he had some "time to kill" before going off the clock so he opted to do an un-scheduled M&G. Either way, we got on line, we weren't told we shouldn't be there, and got a pic.

That's very cool! I bet a lot of character M&G junkies would be Wicked Witch green with envy! :)
