Ever wonder why the Mouse doesn't have a hotel dedicated to him?

Since we all know that our obsession was all started by a mouse, have you ever wondered why there isn't a resort dedicated solely to him and the fab five? I was pondering this at about 2 am this morning while I was up with a hacking cough. It would be really neat with the clubhouse as the main building. Buildings could be themed with the many incarnations of Mickey or floors could be themed wih each of the fab five.

While there have been some proposals, Mickey Mouse is not really a topic for a themed experience. Yes, there could be decor featuring Mickey, but that just results in a hotel with Mickey Mouse everywhere and not an experience of somewhere else. Maybe something like a ToonTown resort would work, but it'd have to be about a place and not a singular character.

It's not a full fledged hotel, but there is a Mickey Mouse suite in the Disneyland Hotel available for the general public. It's called Mickey Mouse Penthouse.

A full fledged hotel based on the rest of the gang, including Mickey, would be nice.

Mickey themed rides or resorts would be cool. Disney could really incorporate some Mickey theming into the contemporary rooms and keep the modern vibe. One thing I really love about the pop is the big Mickey phone in the 70's section, last time I was there I got to see it very morning and night it made me smile!

Yes yes and YES!!!! How cool?!?! A different wing for each character like Art of Animation. I'd love to stay in the Minnie wing please, my son would love a Donald wing.
And Yes, shaped like the Clubhouse! With an "upslide" running through it.
Or a general Disney Junior hotel. A Sofia princess room, A Jake pirate room. FAB!
And to see Mickey in the hotels, YES! Happens in Paris everyday, yet we still queue for an hour to see him "Backstage" in his traditional costume.

Maybe they could make a couple suites like this at the Contemporary!

I don't see why not. There are four other signature suites in the Disneyland Hotel that are seriously cool. They cost thousands of dollars a night to stay in.

Fairy Tale Suite:

The Mickey Suite is definitely amazing, but I'll take the Thunder Suite.:inlove:

Those are some seriously good looking rooms!

I too am enamoured by the Thunder suite. Amazing how much style you can achieve with basic materials and simplicity of design. Then again, perhaps simplicity is a hallmark of classy elegance.
I like the Pirate suite for the same reason.

If 'forced' to choose, I'd pick the fairytale suite. Still the most Disney of them all. Although I prefer the bathroom over the bedroom.

The Fairy Tale one is gorgeous, but that's just that. It looks a little bit TOO gorgeous and fancy. I'd be afraid of eating, drinking and possibly spilling something. It's very white... Too white for me, I'd probably never even wear my shoes in that room.
