I'm going on a girls trip in September. One of our group is a virgin. My greatest hope is she'll love it soooo much she'll want to take her family.

My DW and I took her parents to Disney for the first time in May of this year. I had similar worries that they wouldn't be that interested, but we were shocked how much they actually enjoyed the place! Her father doesn't move around too well and said from the beginning that he may have "on days" with us at the parks, and "off days" when he would do his own thing or hang around the resort.

Well it turns out that every day we went to the parks both eagerly came with us and kept up with our pace. They had a great time and they did "get it." I don't think they will revisit on their own in the future since they have their own vacation properties in more tropical and sandy locations, but I am sure we will take them again.

Actually my wife was a Disney virgin when we met years ago. Today, thanks to me, she is a die-hard vet, but that is another story for another time.

I too will be taking some first timers to WDW in Sept (Sept/Oct to be specific)

There will be five of us.

Me - who is a nut about it.

My friends (husband & wife) who have been 3 or 4 times, but are not "insane" about WDW. They go, they enjoy it, but are not into the "details"

Their friends (brother & sister) who have never been on a "real" vacation, let alone ever to WDW.

I already told them that I have seen most of everything there, and this is "their" trip. I will be happy doing whatever they want to do. Of course there are a few things that I need to do - some refurbishments, but thats about it.

I gave some advice to avoid disappointments (like not counting on walk up dining) but for the most part, this is their trip, I am just here to watch and enjoy.

I took my boyfriend and our best friend this year. They were both 20, and both Disney virgins. My boyfriend loved it (except the flight down, and riding The Revenge of the Mummy at Universal put him in a grumpy mood because he hates coasters and we didn't know what it was... but Cirque that night brought him back to life.. see Disney fixes everything) and I think our friend is more of a WDW fan than I am now =)
It was definitely my favorite trip so far.

Shouldn't you leave the refurbishments to the Imagineers?

Like everyone is saying give them some info to look over. Maybe they won't be as crazy as you are over it but I am sure they will enjoy it. I brought my friend for his virgin trip a few years back & he had a blast.(he was 21) Try to plan out to make their first ride a classic. My firend's first ride was SSE which set off the trip to a nice start. Also never make them sit with you to watch a sign being painted at EE they will never forgive you.(what they were painting the big Yeti foot sign its a chance of a lifetime to see that) ;)

I'm going with my best friend on the 16th October, he is a Dis/universal/USA virgin, he has never been out of England on vacation, so this trip will completely and utterly blow his mind! I can't wait!
