Ever been stuck on Tower of Terror?

Just wondering if anyone has ever been on the Tower of Terror and the ride stopped for whatever reason and if so what point in the ride was it? If not the Tower of Terror then any other interesting stories about being stuck on a ride would be good. The only thing I have ever been stuck on was Space Mountain for a good several minutes, I must say I quite enjoyed it. It was just around the corner from the loading area so I didnt get to see the track with the lights on but it was neat anyway, I cant argue about a prolonged Space Mountain experience.

I was never stuck on that ride, but it would probably be creepy if you were in a dark part lol. The last time I went to Disney, I got stuck in the Haunted Mansion twice. The first time was in front of the hallway, the second time was in the graveyard.

My worst nightmare is getting stuck in the end room at the bottom of the drop on Tower of Terror. I am extremely claustrophobic. I have ridden the ride several times and everytime I am CONVINCED that the ride is stuck, as the cart pauses to turn around. My husband laughs at me constantly!

However, I feel that claustrophobia is no laughing matter:eek:

My last trip (October 2007) my friends & I had the worst luck. We "broke" almost every ride that we went on.
*It started with Space Mountain. We were about 10th away from getting on the ride and they shut it down. We waited there as they turned on all the lights. It was kind of cool to see what was going on there.
*Then we "broke" space mountain. We were at the very top of the first drop at an incline and was there for about 30 minutes.
*On Rockin Rolercoaster, we sat in the Limo for 15 minutes as they had to "Change the Oil" in another Limo.
*Haunted Mansion...I think we have all been stuck on that one. LOL!!
*On Dinosaur, we stopped right where the Camera was for about 2 minutes or so. It was weird to see all of the pictures when we got out. they were all of us but in many different poses.
*While on the Kilamajaro Safari, we had to wait as a Rhino and its baby crossed the road.
Needless to say we have had some issues with rides "Breaking" while on them/in line for them.

I've been evaced out of the lift hill on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and out of the dinosaur diorama of Universe of Energy.

I've gotten stuck in two places:

1) The Fifth Dimension sequence right before you enter the drop shaft.
2) The very end of the ride, like almost to the elevator doors. The lights came on and they moved us to the back of the basement. We had to walk out.

Got stuck on TOT right before entering the Fifth Dimension. The doors didn't open and I have to admit when you're you're sitting in a tight space like that and it is absolutely pitch black, it isn't the most pleasant place to be in.

With Test Track's history of mechanical problems, many people have gotten stuck on it. For me, during the acceleration to go outside, the car topped out at 4 mph and as it went around the bend it stopped, on a completely banked turn. That was pretty uncomfortable too.

Been stuck in just that spot. Funny thing is, the lights do go on, and you notice that the side the ride are just a bunch of holes. We could see the room and extra ride vehicles while we waited for the doors to open.

I was stuck on Test Track for about twenty minutes. In the beginning of the ride my family and I all agreed that our car smelled as if it was burning in the back- we thought nothing of it until the ride shut down. We joked at first saying "imagine if its our car" -until 3 cm's came walking over to our car with a tool box. We were so surprised that it was our car that stopped the ride from functioning... they fixed what needed to be fixed and we continued the ride. Although we were a little apprehensive at first, we wound up having a lot of fun and it gave us a great story to tell the rest of our family and friends......good times and great memories though !

Although not Disney, this is a scary story. My brother (in his 40's) was stuck on Tomb Raider at King's Island in Cincy, Ohio. It was pretty scary even for him. The ride got stuck in an inverted position, in other words everyone was upside down. (The rides swings in all directions from kind of a pendulum.) It took over two hours to get everyone out. Fire Dept. came in about 25 minutes and the ride was "cranked" back to a safer position, but not completely upright. Firemen unloaded everyone with a ladder.

Afterwards he and his kids had headaches!

The idea of getting stuck on ToT makes me sick to my stomach! :(

I got stuck in SSE back in the mid-80s. A severe thunderstorm came up right when we loaded and it knocked out the power. The little vehicles had just turned around for the decent when we stopped. All of the lights came on, and it was nothing but black walls. We sat there a good 20 minutes. I was about 8 at the time, but I don't remember being scared, just impatient. Every time I ride on SSE, I just remember how it looked with all the lights on.

My DW and I got stuck on ToT after loading into the drop zone. Our elevator sat in darkness for a minute or 2 then the lights came on. They proceeded to run us through the drop sequence with the lights still on. Then we were offered a make up ride which most chose to avoid (having been traumatized already)..... but of course the DW and I elected to ride again. They brought us up the real elevator that lets out in the boiler room between the ride doors. Seemed funny that the best way back to the front of the line was an elevator ride!

i haven't had the luck (or bad luck) to get stuck on a ride with the lights on and everything, but i do squeak on TTA everytime space mountain is down...its still bizarre looking with the lights on, almost green tinged......

I think we got stuck for a little while at the end of the ride, once. I was rather young at the time, so I don't remember too clearly, but I do remember having to sit in the basement scene for an unusually long time with that insanely creepy ventriloquist dummy sitting just to the left of me :lookaroun

I got stuck on RnRC. We launched off and it didn't feel like it was going fast enough... started to go up the hill to go to the first loop and we stopped and went backwards. Got some whiplash from that, and we had to walk out!

I also got stuck on Indy in DL, in the middle of the ride, and we had to walk out. They gave us a fastpass for a free ride on anything but Space Mountain... for that day only and the park was to close in 5 minutes. Thanks guys.
