ESPN club on World Series and Monday night football question

I booked a vacation in DisneyWorld at the Dolphin hotel from October 23rd to 25th. The 25th is the Cowboys monday night football game against the Giants. This will be check out day so I can't watch the game from my room. But since the ESPN club is close to the Dolphin the plan was after I have been swiming at the pools at the Dolphin and Swan hotels for hours I will get ready and go over to the ESPN club to watch the monday night game.

But I did not think about how the World Series falls around this time. I believe the ESPN Club did say that they can get every NFL game. If there happens to be a World Series game on the same night as the Cowboys monday night football game how would this work? I guess they would play both the Monday night football game and the World Series. In that case I might need to get there reallly early since there will be people coming to see the World Series and other people coming to see the Monday night football game.

I have a backup plan if I can't get to a place that has the monday night football game on tv and if I can't pick up any radio broadcast of the game on radio on my sony mp3 player. Well I would call Sprint and have it set up so I could either watch the game on my phone or pick up a radio broadcast of the game on my phone.

-Since ESPN is the channel Monday Night Football is on.....I have a feeling you wouldnt have had a problem with getting it shown on atleast ONE tv at espn club :ROFLOL:

And just in general, they have about 100 TVs in the ESPN Club. You can have the TV closest to you tuned to whichever game you want. You just might not be able to hear it, as they only play the audio for whichever the "headliner" event is being shown on the big screen in the room.

We were there last June, and they had a Stanley Cup game, an NBA playoff game and a Red Sox/Yankees game all on at the same time. (My roommate and I were, of course, there to watch the Sox/Yankees game, and as we sat at the bar, the bartender put the game on the TV up overhead)
But the audio playing was for the basketball game, as it was an Orlando Magic game.

sorry flowers child, i guess i may have been a bit harsh there. just football season and all, plus you know the rivalry thing.... hopefully there are no hard feelings.

back to your question, you'll love espnzone! and there's no way they both won't be on tv. i always try to make at least one trip there during a vacation.

Even if there's not any other big events that night, I'd suggest getting there earlier than planned as even in the slowest times around WDW I've seen that place packed for MNF.

Thanks everyone. I have been to the ESPN club before so I do know about all the tvs. I was pretty sure that they would broadcast both if both the World Series and Monday night football did fall on the same night. I basically wanted to be more sure so I asked.

I have heard both here on this thread and other places about the World Series not starting until October 27th. That will make it less crowded. I still plan to get there like early. I am thinking an hour early though I may show up even before that time.

No hard feelings. Also after I read your post I noticed your avatar and figured it was the whole rivalry thing and all that.

Also yes The ESPN club is great. I also plan to have lunch there for the 1 pm on Sunday the day befoe the Monday night game. That way I can keep an eye on a couple different games :)

Maybe a stupid question...but does anyone know if ESPN Club strictly shows ESPN/ABC sports or will they show a CBS event. I'll be down there next week and would like to watch some college football on CBS if possible. And I'd much rather watch it at ESPN than my room.

Thanks!

If it's a game on a major network (CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC, ESPN, ETC.), it'll be on somewhere at the ESPN Club.
If not, ask 'em, they'll put it on.

Like was mentioned the World Series starts later but it would be on most TV's and I'm sure the Division series will dominate the TV's that night. I'll be there also and hope to find a spot where I can catch both the Giants/Cowboys and also Yankees/ someone :D Have fun maybe I'll see ya there.
