Epic Evacuations

I guess I got the less exciting evacs LOL

First that I recall is World of Motion. But we were either at the beginning or the end of the ride (I was a child so the memory is not good) as I recall nothing more than a bit of steps and a door. That ride sure did break down A LOT.

Second was The Land - its original version. Again, got evacuated 2 boats back from the dock so we saw nothing out of the ordinary.

I must say I've been on many a ride that stopped for a bit but only those two times did I ever have to get off. A few places where we broke down in HM would have been cool to see!

EDIT TO ASK QUESTION - HAS anyone ever gotten stuck and evacuated on Rockin' Rollercoaster? I've seen SM with lights on (rode it that way several times) but never seen that ride "lit up" nor did I ever see it having problems.

My sons and I were evacuated from Splash Mountain. We stopped almost at the bottom of the hill before the last climb. I was kind of fun to be walked out through the scenes. We ended up going out a back door, and were walked around to the front. We actually didn't get anything for our trouble. I am kind of jealous of those that at least got a fast pass.

I've been evac'd off Everest. We were in the 3rd car back, and the front car just barely was at the top of the tallest lift when the ride stopped. I thought "oh it's just blocking procedure" but after about a minute, the railings on the side staircase started to move up into position and I was like "oh maannnn, looks like we're getting out of here." So Cast Members came and unlocked our cars and we stood on the stairs until everyone was out, then we all walked up to the top and went through a door and down the longest set of stairs I've ever been down. It brought us next to the final brake run inside the ride, then we just walked to unload.

Reading this makes me wonder: What do they do with less mobile people during evac...obviously there are restrictions for riding that I might not be aware of, but my mother wears trifocal glasses and would not be able to see her way down those stairs and has a knee injury that would make stair descent impossible.
Don't worry...she's not coming to a ride near you!...just curious!

I came blasting through the tunnel on RNRC and noticed inside the building the lights were on. About half way through the tunnel the car began to break heavily. We got out of the tunnel and the front car had just started up the loop. After waiting, which seemed like years, they finally came out and released the car letting it roll backwards. Was really cool expericnce. The inside of RNRC was nasty, dusk, trash, tools. We got to walk some "back stage" area and got a handful of fast passes.

If that's the case, then Reedy Creek would most likely be called. It'd be the same thing if someone who needed a wheelchair was on the ride.

I got evacuated from the TTA in 2009 (09/01/09) - it was a MNSSHP night, so it was about 6-7pm ish around when the party was starting, we had been to Pirates League!
We stopped at the point where the TTA runs parallell to the train. The usual announcements came over but after a while, I knew we were well and truly stuck.
After about 20 minutes, we were walked off, it was quite a long walk from where we where!
We came down some stairs and came back "onstage" right near the entrance to Tomorrowland from the hub, we were given fastpasses which weren't really needed but a nice gesture :)

It was quite an exciting experience!

We've been lucky and never been stuck on a ride more than a couple mins other than once on Test Track. We got stuck going up the hills before the crash test for about half an hour. My uncle tried to amuse us by playing "I Spy" but after awhile it got old lol. Never did an evac, the ride just started up again and we finished it.
Last month when we were waiting in line for SSE, we were almost in the door to load and they stopped the ride. About 10 mins later they started evacuating people and we had to leave the line.
