They're not going to remove Jungle Cruise, but I just think it's awful and superfluous with the existence of Animal Kingdom (the only reason the ride exists was to showcase animals that you can now see for real at AK). I'd love if they overhauled it into a better outdoors boat ride attraction instead of just tearing it out, though.
C'mon. Everyone knows no one goes on the JC to see animals. It's to hear the skippers spiel :) <only half joking - half of what makes the ride work is how well the skipper does his spiel>

As someone who dislikes actual zoos, I don’t find the Jungle Cruise at all superfluous. Moreover, even for those who do likes zoos, the ride is hardly reduplicative of what you find at Animal Kingdom. It’s a cheesy bit of comedy rather than a meaningful exploration of nature.

Well yeah, but that's not why the ride was originally designed -- it was supposed to be a ride about viewing animals.

The ride doesn't work at all for me no matter how well they do the spiel because I think the spiel itself is bad, but I realize plenty of people disagree. The only part I really like is the temple ruins.

It was originally designed to be an exploration of nature, though (at least in Disneyland). They just retrofitted cheesy comedy on top because it didn't work.

As-is, the ride does nothing well. They could overhaul it to make it more comedic, I suppose, and that might work, but right now it's just blah all around.

Personal opinion, of course, and it doesn't matter anyways because the ride still performs pretty well and Disney isn't going to change it anytime soon.

I realise that, but they acknowledged pretty quickly that it wasn’t working as intended. It’s been a comedy show much longer than it’s been anything else.

I disagree but respect your opinion.

It hasn't been about the animals since Davis redesigned under Disney in the 60s at Disneyland.

When I worked there, the tour guides would wait for specific skippers because of their spiel (a lot more adlib in those days too).

Jungle Cruise is a must do for my family when we visit MK. We have a one day ticket to visit Epcot this holiday season and are considering adding a park hopper just to ride Jingle Cruise. It’s such a great addition to the holiday happenings!

I would add Haunted mansion, Splash, and pooh to that
If they never plan on doing a Nightmare before christmas overlay than I may agree.. Haunted mansion in orlando is not as noticeably as different than the Pirate comparison. I'm not even bringing that hatbox ghost into the equation either. That thing is silly.. I am actually not looking forward to them cramming him into HM.

In the Parks
No
So, tonight was the first time I’ve actually seen Harmonious in person. I must say I was prepared to hate it, but I didn’t. The technology is actually fascinating and I can see how they thought it was a good idea. The arms and water and fireworks in the barges are well done and pretty cool to see in action. I kind of hate that they’re having to get rid of them - they’d make a great show IF they could make them mobile.

That being said, the show has three major problems:

1. It does not belong in EPCOT. It would be a great MK show but it is wholly inappropriate for the park it is in.

2. The barges look awful in the daytime.

3. Unlike Illuminations that could be enjoyed from anywhere, not being dead center on the big ring does lead to the show not being as good (we watched from the fish and chips patio).

As someone who's in love with the show I will say these are fair criticisms. I wish the barges were mobile. I think if the pulled back on the IP just a little bit and used them as a supporting element rather than the main thing it could have worked out a lot better. Oh well :(
