Fascinating to see what Disney replaces Harmonious with. Universal is testing drones at night now.
No surprise there, they can't do high altitude shells.
Drones are not enough no matter what for Epcot, nobody cares about a low altitude , thin LED show of any kind for more than a couple minutes at most....

"Guests staying at any of the hotels in the EPCOT Resort Area (including Disney's Boardwalk Inn, Disney's Yacht Club, and Disney's Beach Club) should keep in mind that special effects and pyrotechnics testing will take place at EPCOT on Tuesday, February 28, possibly in preparation for the return of EPCOT Forever.

These tests are currently scheduled to take place after park close, from around 11:45 p.m. (or whenever the park is clear of Guests) until around 1:00 a.m. The rehearsal will include multi-burst intervals of fireworks, lasers, and smoke/fog effects, but will NOT include audio testing."

Sounds like they'll be running the entire show and will run the audio through headphones or in whatever room they happen to be in.

Time to see if they got the second barge back working at least for EF

Harmonious took years to develop and still panned out bad, Im worried now that disney obviously wont want to run EF for years, how this next show with likely less investment and development time will pan out.

I'd like to think that the show was planned as a back up to Harmonious likely meaning it was in development well before Harmonious's retirement was announced. Has been said here awhile ago that the show has "been on the cards for awhile"
