Epcot's Character Spot to close for major refurbishment

Here's what I'll say about that. It appears that Disney is lavishing more detail and attention
to small, seemingly insignificant things, than they have lately. So, yes. Go ahead and do
a great job with the M&G, Disney. But don't forget to dream big, too, while you're at it.

I'm all for the idea of them adding some detail to the Character Spot, it just stinks that they're doing it so soon. I just got a Chase card and I'll be in Epcot November 11th, so I was hoping to get myself a free picture. At least I'll get access to the Chase Lounge...

It will be interesting to see what comes out of it, especially after such a lengthy refurb!

I can just see it now, they are probably going to do a really nice highly detailed M&G area at which point some people will complain that Disney has spent to much money for just a meet and great when Epcot needs so much more, arguments will ensue, feelings will be hurt, people will cry, it will just be ugly.
The Chase Visa image is not in C Spot but in its own room in Innoventions, so that should still be available.

So when they say....Other locations...in Innoventions.....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE..Do not let them Butcher this area with characters....

One of the few "happy places of Epcot past", where you could plausibly convince yourself that if you just walked out the door, you might see Dreamfinder, or go on Horizons . . . .

I'd like them to use the area that was in use for the 25th Anniversary exhibit. So much unused space.

The only other M&G's I've witness is the Tinkerbell Characters right as you exit. I believe it was a year or two ago. You can see the purple wall in this pic and then see that my picture is where it was..

When I was just there in Sept. they HAD characters in that hall!! They had Chip and Dale there and a long line of people waiting to meet them. So, they are already using that hallway space for a M&G.
I'm glad they are re-doing the character spot. I felt the area has a tacky background for all the characters, so maybe they will come up with something better.

I saw this is great. Sure i want an E ticket or something along those lines but i will by no means complain about this refurb. Even though its small it still matters in my opinion.
