Are you saying this is not going to be for Guests but is only for Cast Members? If that is the case then that stinks.... those sound like some nice presentations
Yep...the cast get to see those presentations.
Guests....can see them a day earlier if they joined D23 and doled out some cash.

Yeah I was a charter member of D23...but was turnd off in time by some of the costs involved....a lot of times it was either virtually impossible to buy a ticket due to such small event size or else it was priced to a point where it just didnt seem a value... oh well

Everyone that sees Illuminations will see the tag.
Only cast and D23 members get access to the panels.
Either way, it's about time Disney releases some info about it, no? We're just under two weeks out and still no word from Disney at all on this.

So nothing except Illuminations for Monday? Not even a cupcake?

That's what I was thinking. I have four friends all headed for Epcot that day for F&W, and I told them "Hey, did you know it will be the 30th anniversary?" and they replied, "Cool! Will they do anything special?"
"Um, not really. You get a "tag" on the fireworks."

There are the buttons and maps confirmed so far. Seems there may be some tricks up their sleeves though since it says "panels" but not which ones specifically. Also there is the rededication ceremony. So that is at least 3 confirmed things and a 4th that is confirmed but no full information on the panels yet. Seems like more than just an Illuminations tag.

As far as I can tell, the panels that were referenced are not going to be open to the public, they are for CMs. The panels talked about are repeats of some of the panels being presented the day before for D23 members [who paid $65 or $185 for the privilege depending on which package they bought].

I bet there will be a special park map (possibly just 30th anniversary added to it) and a button. I wasnt expecting a huge event since it appears that it was thrown together from what i remember hearing for the 25th.

To me, it doesnt really matter what Disney actually does, Ill be there with friends and family. That is celebration enough.

Same. While I'm excited to be there for the 30th, it was an unexpected bonus. Our AP's expire in late October, and since our oldest is in High School marching band, the only break we have is that weekend/early that week for my wife and I to get away for a bit without the kids.

Here is a preliminary, TBC list of events planned for October 1

October 1st:

Commemorative map and button
Access to specific merchandise
Rededication ceremony, possibly in American Gardens Theatre
Possible speaker panels in World Showplace
RoE 30th anniversary tag

More news as it arrives

Just checking--each of these would be available to any Epcot park visitors, correct?

"Public" speaker panels in WS would be a nice add-on to the events of the 25th. Though with regard to Rededication Ceremony, Innoventions Plaza probably held a lot more people than AGT will.

Speaker pannels are confusing ATM. Information suggests they are D23 and thus paid for on the 30, and for cast only on the 1st, but information to cast members suggests world showplace will be open to guests on Oct 1.

I agree about the choice of any ceremony. Strange indeed.
