I totally agree with you on all points. Although I love the animals, I just cannot get AK to grow on me like the others. Epcot gets better and better over the years. If we have to choose one park to go to for a short trip, we would choose Epcot.

I used to hate Epcot when I was younger, but little by little it started to grow on me.

And I love the animals too...which is strange, since I'm not the biggest animal fan. The Safari is cool. Once I ride EE, I'm sure that'll be cool. Dinosaur is fun. Primevil Whirl is painful but very entertaining.

Ok. I'm out of things I like at AK. I think therein is where my problem lies:animwink:

I'm joining the list with many others: I love EPCOT. It is my favorite park. When I was at DW long time ago, EPCOT was not at the top of my list. Now that I am older, I can enjoy it so much more.
I love the other parks too, but EPCOT beats them all in my book.

when i went at age 9 and 11 epcot was my favourite park. i've since become a huge fan or rollercoasters and the like though, so i'm swaying a bit more towards mgm, although don't get me wrong, i love all the parks!
i think as i live in the UK it's such a huge thing to get to come back to Florida, so maybe I appreciate everything more, I dunno.

Not that I'm saying anyone who lives nearer doesn't appreciate it though....

Digging myself a hole here!! :o

Do you English love grabbing a beer or two and Fish and Chips and sitting by the water as much as I do? I always spend about an hour just chillin by the lakeside.

hey hottie,
I can safely say I have never had fish and chips because I would just feel too British eating that in the US! I live in a seaside town so it would be too much like home!
but I have to admit having beef stew in the Rose and Crown last time and it was yummy!
and I tried some of a yard of ale as well, I couldn't have managed a whole one!

First, could you please use some better punctuation? You just have a big jumble of sentences that's very hard to read, thanks. :)

Second, are you comparing Epcot to how it used to be, and you think it's lost its old spirit; or are you simply saying that you never enjoyed it at all?
Was it REALLY that hard to read?...if so, maybe you're the one who needs to further your education. What is with some of you people being Forum Nazis...the person asked a question, and wanted to post something...SO WHAT....dont sit there and critique their grammar, no one is trying to submit a thesis paper for a grade...but just for you, I will be sure to run my spell and grammar check before I submit anything

dude, ?
Yeah, i've been rude to some forum members for their bad grammar, but i'm trying to be more forgiving. If you actually read what i said, i wasn't rude to him originally, hell, i said "please" and "thank you". It wasn't until he got rude with another member that i chided him.

I believe that writing posts without thought to readability does 2 things, it makes you look like an idiot, and its disrespectfull to your fellow forum goers. All i asked is that he TRY to write more legibily, and then asked a legitimate follow up question to clarify his original question (which he never answered), how exactly did that make me a "forum nazi"?

oh dear who doesn't like being replied too then must be the english american thing many thanks to the other member who gave an honest reply and as he said it just started out as a general question about a park not how to read, spell and anything bloody else! and to answer your question im not keen on the new epcot as well as the original.

I agree that EPCOT has a different feeling than the other three parks and a much slower pace. It is the park that my kids like the least, yet they always end up forgetting that fact and having a fantastic time. They ride the thrilling stuff (Test Track, Soarin, Mission Space), but also clamour to get in line and ride Ellen's Energy, the Norway boats, to watch the American show and see Ben Franklin. I think that they feel that EPCOT is not as cool as the other parks and dont want to be caught liking it, but secretly they giggle and grin there just like they do at the other three parks.

You bite your tongue. Epcot is not a kook! It is a brave and a decent park. It is a pioneer! Erroneous... Erroneous... Erroneous on all accounts!!!

EPCOT_Rocks.

Also, my friends and I have a new game: Drink Around the World Plus.
You have a beverage at each nation in the WS and then you ride Sorin. You could also do it with MS, but I don't think that would turn out too well.

Welcome to the club...my friends and I have been playing Beers of the World for years!!! Our next goal is to do Beers and then do Mission:Space. I don't know how it's going to turn out (:hurl:), but I don't recommend it for everyone. Fortunately, we're all Canadians, so we're used to beer with a little more zip.

Quick little tidbit about my school... Seniors live in Townhouses... they are two sections of them, both in the form of an enormous circle... the "newer" townhouses are perfect for this... anyways... every first weekend fo school we have "around the world." My freshman year was probably the best year ever... there's 32 townhouses in the "newer" section, and like... 60 in the older ones... well the first night is for the "new" ones... and I'd say... 20 out of the 32 townhouses had a chair or two on their front porch and you'd go up... sit in the chair and they'd pour a shot into your mouth... and each townhouse has their own unique shot... they have different alcohols, different mixers, unique ways of giving you the shot (let's just say... one of the sororities had the best way of giving the shot... i won't go into detail) and... you just go to everyone and take their unique shot...

I'm finally a senior now, can't wait to take part in this...

Just kinda is similar to your game you're talking about... except on a college campus... and... well... use your imagination... ends up being one of the best nights you'll never remember...

I love EPCOT with all my heart (original and current) and I wouldn't trade it for any other park.

That being said, I can see how someone who is a newbie to The World who hasn't been immersed in all the nostalgia, history, and soul of EPCOT would find it less than par. At least compared to MK.

I can still remember going on field trips to EPCOT as a kid when I lived in St. Pete and having my fellow classmates (who hadn't spent one long weekend a month, every month on property since birth like I had) complaining that they didn't think you were supposed to be "learning" so mucn in an amusement park. (Sorry for the long sentence.)

I don't think the OP is wrong for saying what he said. In fact, it's actually not uncommon at all for the majority of people outside of these boards to think that EPCOT isn't as fantastic as we do.

Thanks for your opinion. I still love EPCOT.

Oh - And I too have drank around the world. One of the greatest nights of my life. Too bad I missed I:RoE because I had broken the seal and spent every 5 minutes running to the bathroom to the left of SSE...
