hahahhaha

yeah its a great time. We're gonna buy a handle or two of absolute and a liter of Grey Goose for ourselves... drink in during the first week of classes... then fill them back up with the $9.99 handles of vodka that taste like pure rubbing alcohol... Freshman will be too drunk to realize its not the good stuff... but will remember who provided the expensive vodka... and come back all semester for parties... good marketing! I knew there was a reason I went to a business school...

I love EPCOT with all my heart (original and current) and I wouldn't trade it for any other park.

That being said, I can see how someone who is a newbie to The World who hasn't been immersed in all the nostalgia, history, and soul of EPCOT would find it less than par. At least compared to MK.

I can still remember going on field trips to EPCOT as a kid when I lived in St. Pete and having my fellow classmates (who hadn't spent one long weekend a month, every month on property since birth like I had) complaining that they didn't think you were supposed to be "learning" so mucn in an amusement park. (Sorry for the long sentence.)

I don't think the OP is wrong for saying what he said. In fact, it's actually not uncommon at all for the majority of people outside of these boards to think that EPCOT isn't as fantastic as we do.

Thanks for your opinion. I still love EPCOT.

Oh - And I too have drank around the world. One of the greatest nights of my life. Too bad I missed I:RoE because I had broken the seal and spent every 5 minutes running to the bathroom to the left of SSE...

Yeah so back on target... I ABSOLUTELY love Epcot... I can't even imagine having gone on field trips there as a kid, that'd be awesome! It's probably my least favorite of the four... but... that doesn't mean I don't like it... I still absolutely love it, and would be heart broke if it were ever gone... would not... absolutely would not be WDW if it didn't have epcot

without spoiling the moment im afraid the english section is not really like it is and does not taste the same really

No I know... I'm not that naive. Regradless, I feel that it is a true sentiment that perception is reality (based off the social construction of reality theory). Just like how some in this thread feel that others are rude while the other people didn't think they were rude. Each has a reality based on their experience.

With that said, I was wondering if, even though the experience is different for them, the English find the charm and peacefulness of Rose and Crown that I do. I speak of the patio section mostly.

The new Epcot Future World I am not so excited about. It has kind of lost direction - it used to be about being excited about the future - yes at one time those buildings really were futuristic. But that aged poorley and then people started calling it educational (instead of inspiration and discovery). Right now it is kind of lost - trying to come up with thrill rides with a science theme, and it just doesn't quite gel as a whole. So I prefered the old Future World by far.

World Showcase, on the other hand, is filling in nicely. I think a lot of people miss the point about World Showcase because all they think of is rides, and jump from one ride to the next, forgetting baout the in between. World SHowcase is about exploring and getting lost and just being someplace else. It is by far best enjoyed with friends, and best enjoyed by getting out of the main walkway and into the countries. It is also fun to talk with the cast members - most are from other countries and not the stereotypical foreigners you think of - and they have some pretty interesting stories. I learned more about the difference in drinking and bread from someone in Germany than I ever did anywhere else!

I wish that they would put a little more attention into new details and secrets to discover in World Showcase.

I do think the UK in Epcot is lovely, a proper, quaint little village.
And yeah, it is really peaceful and sweet.
I went down the seafront yesterday and had some proper fish and chips, I think I'll have to break my vow next time I'm at WDW and try them, just to see how they compare. I'm sure they'll be more like posh restaurant fish and chips as opposed to good ol' greasy, newspaper-wrapped soggy ones they have at home. Ah, but there's nothing quite like 'em!

There's a lot of angry little people round here lately....
