Looking at Google Earth, there are very few areas that would hold a full pavilion, the areas beside the barge parking and beside France are the only two that really seem large enough. Other wooded areas between current pavilions don't seem big enough and/or have too many utility buildings in behind them. Even the two that are big enough would have to have some stuff relocated. Would it be a safety problem having a pavilion beside the IllumiNations' barge storage? All that pyro stored and loaded so close?
THey already do.
Oh, way back when when the budget was not the issue.  I agree the asthetics would have been interesting (hidden mickey anyone? :lookaroun), but man, room for 20+ pavilions... wow.
Yeah, huge hidden Mickey!

20 Pavs would be killer. Could you imagine IllumiNations? You could have pyro coming from the main lagoon and supplemented by the other two.

Woah, woah, WOAH.

You're about to cross some LINES there Evan.

:fork:

It looks nice.

It has a nice store.

The store sells some traditonal things.

It also has Anime.(Only reason why you like it)

There are a few resturants...They are mediocre.

That's Japan to me.:lol::lookaroun

Ah...Still. I am SURE there is room SOMEWHERE.
There is. Plenty of it. It`s just cheaper to use trailers. There is room for 5 more countries without even blinking (as covered in numerous threads)

How do y'all feel about the OLD plans to build two smaller lagoons on either side of WS to be able to add more countries?
That was just wishful thinking I`m afraid. Was it Card Walker if I recall? Blue sky only.

A: "Traditional Things"? Evan, I'M supposed to be the one with no education.

Just because it's in a Japanese store, everything in there MUST be "Traditional"?

B: That is NOT the only reason I love the store, after all only very rarely do they get things from shows I like, and even when they do, I usually can't buy them due to high prices. It's mostly like Window Shopping.

C: Japan is the BEST Pavilion at Japan because of it's intricate detail, theme, and immersion. Could it be better with a ride? Yes. Does it rank above all the pavilions, including ones WITH rides and shows?

Also yes.

A:Traditional in the meaning of a typical WS Shop...It carries merchandise commonly found in Japan. Not sure what elese that could mean... Sorry if it offended you!

C:Also, Travis, you know most of your argument here is based off of opinion.;) I think all of the Pavilions in WS have superb themeing...Japan or any of the others for that matter to not *pop* out at me where one is better than the other. They are all vastly different, and for that reason each is it's own category in architecture and feel. At least to me.

I'm just messin' with you.

(But to all others: don't mess with the Japan or the American Pavilions. :lookaroun)

The plot west of Japan isn`t designated for a full country. Not been for a long time.

They should relocate the Italy pavilion to that one, it'll easily fit in that "half-country" space... Then they can utilize the entire plot that Italy currently holds...

Would be nice to see another few countries sprout up in the World Showcase. I've often tinkered with the thought of additions. A small alpine village surrounded by pine forrest and mountains would fit nicely between Germany and Italy, representing Switzerland. The African Outpost can also be moved and transformed into a full (or at least larger) Tribal Africa pavilion. That would empty out that large space for one or two pavilions. The river that the bridge goes over could be the Nile, a centerpiece of an Egyptian pavillion. I've also always felt it not quite right that there's no Russia, Australia or Greece.

India would be nice too.
