It is not too impressive....but as previously reported, it is a test for the future

Jesus was looking over Epcot this afternoon :lookaroun

The Margarita stand in Mexico has moved....while it used to be located on the end of the retail area, it is not on the opposite side of the walkway....it looks like it can handle higer volume, which is nice, as even on slow days, the line could be very long

Today began Holidays Around the World

Mickey's Tree Lighting Treat is currently scheduled for 6pm nightly, and is a nice little show

DSC_0261.jpg

The show begins with 2 members of American Vybe singing....then Mickey and Friends show up.....the tree gets lit, and the Lights of Winter begin the show.

My friend called me from Epcot and told me about the skywriting.
Doesn't Disney World have restricted airspace preventing others from flying overhead, because I doubt that Disney would write those messages in the sky.
Well anyway, great photos!
I wish I was there!

It was being written somewhat south of the park........

The Jesus freaks must have finally found a way to spread the msg since they can no longer use the banner planes

I think their money would be better spent on helping those that are in true need....like feeding/clothing the homeless or whatnot (you know...something Jesus might have done).....but I am a bit silly that way.

They do the sky writing every year speck. The fun part is when a letter gets messed up or when you don't realize what they're spelling..

"F.."

Are they gonna write something obscene?

"F..A.."

Fat? they're calling us fat? Fake?

"F..A..I.."

I knew it was Fat! Wait till they cross the T!

"F..A..I..T.."

Wait, that's not fat, that's fait.. as in 'Il fait beau' but as wonderful as things are going I don't understand why they're appealing to a french audience...

"F..A..I..T..H"

Oh, faith.. like Faith, trust and Pixiedust! Good going Peter Pan! *goes to buy a churro, unmoved by the religious gesture*

Popular belief is that it is, but I am not so sure. On my last trip a month or so ago, I saw planes overhead most every day (mostly from MK). I noted each time how odd it was, since I too believed the airspace is restricted. It would be interesting to know what the current status of this is, and if it is still restricted what exactly those planes I saw were.

That is very useful, I was in the market for a lord and savior and I just wasn't finding one to suit my needs. If it were not for the skywriting, I may have sat around waiting for Elijah the Profit. I'm going to have to look in to this "Jesus" fellow.

Next we'll see the skywriter writing LADDER. Think that'll boost the following?

:D To suggest that Jesus in the sky is not helping people:hammer::lol::lookaroun

Agreed!!, I guess some people are so brainwashed that it isn't even funny.

Speaking as someone who grew up in Louisiana, the "Jesus Freaks" as you put it, DID spend tons of money and time and energy feeding, clothing and housing the truly homeless. Just because someone chose to skywrite "Jesus" in the sky doesn't mean that it's money being wasted. It very well may have been the owner of the plane doing this of his or her own freewill. As an example, many times you see Christian billboards, they are done free of charge by the owners of the billboards when there are no paying ads for that particular billboard.

And before you think of flaming me, I'm not making up the part about Louisiana...my parents' church (my home church) fed refugees, housed rescue workers (the refugees were being housed in a (larger) civic center) and my parents gave away just about every blanket and piece of clothing they didn't absolutely need...they even gave away a bassinet they may need again if my brother and his wife have another child.

I don't know why people feel like it's fun to assume things about Christians. We aren't all uneducated rednecks...it just seems that those are the only ones that end up on TV.

He's less of an oddball narrating than you are typing. He's a professional recording artist and evidently does a good job with this narration because he's done it in previous years, too.

By the way, the last half of your post makes no sense. :brick:

By the way, Jaci Velasquez is a narrator...she also is a Christian music artist. And the funniest irony of all is that Jim Caviezel is a narrator...he portrayed Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ" movie and is a devout Christian himself.

To me, the oddball is Phil Donahue...he has such a monotone delivery.
