Looks like EPCOT Computer Central...or the SSE Scene.
But without the Foxy Go-Go Dancer/Scientist AA (dang, what a career change! :lookaroun), I only envision {somewhat} bad memories...

(The only song to be stuck in my head for ages next to the SM 1975 RCA tune. Thanks Sperry Univac! :p)

Oooh I haven't been this excited about Disney Theme Parks in over 10 years. With DCA, Fantasyland, and now the minor but surprising changes to Epcot... The New Millennium Imagineering drag is finally OVER! :sohappy:

I read something online that they said was told directly by someone who would know.

I trust the person who posted would not lie.

Here it is- tarps go
Part of stage over fountain goes and stage gets a makeover.

Interesting on the stage makeover IF true. I understand that it is used for New Year's & is rarely used.

Think they can have a sort of collapsible stage in which won't block the fountain? :lookaroun

The majority of the stage does not hang over the fountain. it's just a small part at the back. And in aerial photos, it appears that the overhang is of noticably different construction than the rest of it. It *may* just be constructed that it *can* be removed, and it simply never has...
The stage can easily be used for just about anything they'd need, except for large-number presentations like the 25th anniversary celebration, without that segment.

Well, I also meant that it seemed to be connected to where railings would have been once. :)

Hm... Well, the tarps going and the fountain having all its permeters working again sounds good. :sohappy: :sohappy:

Interesting about the stage getting a refurb... perhaps they are going to try and have a new show there on a regualr basis?

Speaking of which, when was the last time a show was performed on the stage? I think it was Splashtacular, but...

EDIT: The stage was built for Splashtacular, so were there any other shows afterwards?

Wonder when the Future World Corps played their last song.

I, for one, never saw them in action. :(

Future Corps...man, that was a LONG time ago...

My first go-around in college, I was good friends with a number of those guys. I also knew the director of music at WDW back in the mid-late '80's - he used to live here in the Jacksonville area, or he worked here some, anyway.

Back then, Future Corps was my dream job........
