I have to agree with all the reasons so far....I've got really nothing to add.
Just that FW is just so perfectly "Disney" (the entrance music loop is some of my favorite music from all of WDW), and WS is very romantic.

SSE and CoP are my favorite two attractions...and we're so bummed that SSE will likely be closed this next trip  I agree with EpcotGrl; sse was also the place to go during my CP to perk me up or remind me why I was there

Wow; I don't know why, but I'll have to go with what everyone else said!

I like that it's less crowded and more grown up, the festivals, the Christmas festivities, Illuminations, World Showcase, food, Ellen, childhood memories, Maelstrom, virutal postcards, the House of the Future, dancing fountains, Club Cool, wide open spaces, everything!! Holidays Around the World is great!

I really like the whole Epcot area: the resorts and Boardwalk, the boats. I also enjoy the American Adventure, Voices of Liberty, Candlelight Processional, concerts, Circle-Vision movies. The whole park has this genuine feeling that the others don't quite attain, although the resort wouldn't be the same to me if any of the parts were missing. I always remember exiting World Showcase at night. Everything was so lit up and beautiful. I also like all the sponsors and the focus on the future and hope for mankind. It just resonates more with me than fantasy and dreams (although I can be a sucker for those too).

Epcot has always been my favorite park, but I always feel at home there since it was the first park where I worked. I enjoyed the people I worked with, and compared to other locations, it's a relatively relaxed atmosphere. World Showcase costumes are fantastic, Future World costumes haven't been updated in the past two decades. Everyone I met seemed genuine and all the IPs are genuinely friendly. Plus Brad Rex seems like a cool guy. And on my days off I would sometimes wander around the park and try something different, like seeing Impressions de France, or going further back in Morocco or Japan. And Mariachi Cobre blew me away and got me interested in mariachi. I love Reflections of China and Mo'Rockin and Off Kilter and The British Invasion and World Showcase Players and looking for characters in their native countries, watching the Fountain of Nations, the Jammitors, The Land!, Soarin', and The Seas!

I think I could go on and on. I just feel like it was just my kind of park. My family also spent a lot of time at Epcot in the past. It sometimes feels like the abandoned park from the 80s that few claim as their favorite, which makes it feel even more special to me. Oh, Epcot...those were happy times...at least in retrospect. It doesn't matter how Epcot changes; it will always have a special place in my heart!

The first time I saw Epcot was in 1993 when I was five years old, and it has to be said - I didn't get it at the time. The place bored me and I kept wondering where Mickey Mouse was.

Now that I'm 18 and far more mature I really appreciate the magic of Epcot; I can think of nothing better than strolling around WS at night (not drinking unfortunately; I'm not legal in the US yet!), with SSE glowing in the background, and waiting for IllumiNations to begin. I can think of no place I'm happier.

I love all of the other parks, but Epcot is without a doubt my favourite. I think what makes it such a great park is that it doesn't rely on Mickey and the characters to be magical (although they are so often present nowadays). It has its own brand of magic that seems so much more REAL to me; we're not getting the overload of 'dreams come true' and 'wish upon a star' you get in MK.

Although I don't remember 1993 and the last days of EPCOT Center, I really wish I did. But, despite its flaws, today's Epcot is dear to me because I have only recently really discovered it.

I guess because I never went to WDW as a kid (my first trip was on my honeymoon), EPCOT was the park that "spoke" to me the most. I admit it - I'm a nerd. I love FW for all the neat technology things, I love the boat ride in the Land (although I missed it the last trip) because it explains about the science; I haven't been on TT yet, but I'm sure I will like that because it is essentially a science experiement! WS is absolutely wonderful. Krisit Kay, I have always made a point to talk to the people about their countries and culture. It's so neat to hear what they have to say!

All in all, I would have to just second everything that posters said before me. However, I believe you all left out something of utter importance - the margaritas in Mexico!!!!

Epcot was always my favorite...the effects have always been some of the most cutting edge, with some of the most unique stuff to do that you can't do anywhere else. And there is nowhere nicer to end your night than with Illuminations and a stroll around the World Showcase. And the FOOD...oh, the food is just fantastic. Go with an open mind, and Epcot will offer you a different version of Disney magic than you have ever seen before!

Well, my first visit to Epcot was when the Seas pavillion was being built (so... what? mid-80s?)
Back then, I was young and too scared to try roller coasters and such. So, Epcot, with its slow and educational rides was right up my alley (I have always liked history/museum/sci-fi kind of stuff)--AND the fact that we were there in the summer and all the rides are air-conditioned was a big bonus!
So, I'm sure some of it is nostalgia for me... I remember the World of Motion and Horizons... These were the kinds of rides that defined Disney for me. They were full of AAs and cute scenes--the kinds of rides you just couldn't get anywhere else. I don't get to the World often enough to have a favorite... I suppose I'd prefer EP and MK over AK and MGM... but I DO LOVE Epcot.
As with many things, that which makes it nice--wide open spaces--is also one of the harder things to deal with... lots of walking--especially for kids... but it is still great!

Food. Beer & wine. IllumiNations.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite park but if you're at WDW for any longer than one day you shouldn't miss it.

I just love Epcot because its not rushed, really really laid back! Where MK is really rushed and packs of people everywhere. but i love MK as well, but its just rushed, especially compared to Epcot! oh and its the only place in the world where you can drink around the world!

There's no "supposed to be" about it. If you can, I highly suggest one. As well as a nice ale in Germany....Aw, forget it! Just sample a few things from all around the Showcase, see what you like best!

I could go for a nice cold Casablanca from Morocco about now!

And there is yet another reason to like Epcot - being able to sample different alcoholic beverages from around the world.

I find I like the parks in their order of creation.
So Epcot is second, right behind the Magic Kingdom.
It was the first park I explored the same time as my wife, when it opened in 1982. As a Floridian, she introduced me to the Magic Kingdom, something I'd never had a particularly strong desire to see since I wasn't a big coaster fan at the time.
I considered the best Magic Kingdom attractions those with the most AAs. And as Future World opened, it was heavy on AAs. Space Ship Earth, Listen to the Land, Journey Into Imagination, The World of Motion, Horizons and the Universe of Energy were all fantastic, as well as the American Adventure.
Over time, I've come to love other things as well. In particular, Soarin', Test Track, Mission:Space, Cranium Command, Body Wars and especially The Voices of Liberty.
Before they built the Swan & Dolphin, it was neat to look at the different countries against the horizon and imagine you were just arriving at one. The intrusion of the hotels ruins this effect, but it's still neat to roam the countries and find yourself in a tiny bit of them:
Entering the plaza at dusk in Mexico, back against the waterfall at Norway, the little garden area beside China, deep in the shops in Germany, back by the wall fountain in Italy, in the courtyard beside the shop in America, near the fast food place in Japan, back in the twists and turns in Morroco, near the river in France, near the square in England and by the rushing river in Canada!

I have to say, though, that my fave time to be at Epcrack (as we lovingly refer to it) is during the Food & Wine festival. DH and I can go there with $50 in our pocket and get fed and watered - REALLY watered - as long as we have a designated driver! Fave thing about that is the cheddar cheese soup you can get at the Canada stand. LEAST fave thing last year was the absence of an Ireland booth
