I absolutely loved it. I’m all for adding the IPs. It ties all of Disney together and makes it fun to listen to some music we all know. Great show!
I’ve always been in the minority I believe, and have been going to WDW since the early 80’s...but I pretty darn well expect to have some Disney music with the nightly shows. So I’ve got zero issues with it.

It seems clear this is meant to appeal to no one to set up HarmoniUS for success. Which is so infuriating.

Boy, yeah, that would make sense. It's why we have kites and just (aside from the WW3 barges) these small square platforms. Illuminations was more than just the fireworks and music. It was the set pieces. Fountain barges. Globe barge. Inferno barge.

And guess what Harmonious has? Set pieces. We may all have differing opinions on the inclusion of IP in the next show, but Harmonious will have things to focus on outside of the fireworks and music.

I liked it but it was lacking something and then the random Aladdin music at the end.. what was that all about? Lots of famous classic Epcot music could have been used but they go back to Imagination over and over which is the worst ride in the park, in it's current state anyway. Didn't hear any reference to Test Track or the Living Seas?

I wanted to love this show, maybe it feels different in person, but I was disappointed. Some that have stated that the songs switched over too quickly or didn’t last long enough, I see that too. I didn’t really care for the children singing in some of the songs. It looked like a lot of fireworks and some kites and random songs mixed together (I know they’re not random, I’ve heard the old versions many times, maybe I just don’t like this mix?). I really loved the energy of Illuminations and the story and the buildups where you would anticipate the highlights. Again, I haven’t seen this in person and maybe it just needs more time to settle in for me. I’m not excited for another show to be coming with Disney movie music though. All those shows seem the same to me and not very unique...and Disney, if you’re reading this, stuffing that same music you use in every show in my head makes me dislike it more, not hand over money to you for overplayed songs.

Those elements worked well; too bad they were attached to a series of “greatest hits” clips instead of being allowed to build naturally from one song and emotion to another.
This was my exact problem with it too! The pacing of this show was an absolute mess. I felt like the show was constantly tripping over itself and never let a song or moment breathe. It felt extremely temporary, which is obvious as it is, but it shouldn't actively feel that way.
