I live in USA, was married in Mexico (and have been other times as well), studied in UK at Oxford, and traveled to Canada, France, and Italy :)

Been in an Italian Airport... Does that count :D ? (Flew East to Japan not west...).

Germany - Visited once for an exchange trip

Just got back from a European vacation that included Italy and Germany. Have been to France, Mexico and Canada too.

My daughter just moved to Shizuoka, Japan last week for a job teaching English.
Ahh Soo cool! I was in Kamakura! My Eigo Sensei (English teacher) was a foreigner teaching abroad too. She loves her job and I bet your daughter will love it too! Such a unique country and polite people, I recommend spending a night in a Buddhist temple, while she is there ! Tell her good luck! :D

Japan is in the works for next year's vacation plans.

If you go to TD or TDS aim for a Thursday or Friday, many college and high school students have exams on Fridays so you don't see them skip class often on those days. Plus Worker are usually most busy on those days and end the night celebrating the break (which many don't get off on weekends but they might get a few hours taken away) with some drinks. So yea Friday and Thursday are usually the best days :)
