EPCOT Center 35th Anniversary Events?

There's little chance that the IllumiNations tag is much different from the 25th and 30th editions, right?

Really wish Disney Parks Blog would stream this live.

Or better yet, remember what their founder knew: the power of television. They used to know how to make a Disney Channel or network television event out of park anniversaries... that had the ancillary effect of being ads, but we loved them anyway

I think they have forgotten how powerful broadcasting some of these things could be.

But, sadly, I think the real thing that they forgot was simply EPCOT itself.

It s not nostalgia. It should still be that "one little spark" that inspires the kid in us to reach new heights.

I hope WDW gets a good anniversary special on ABC for its 50th like it did for the 25th anniversary.

I was there for the 30th, by accident, but it was a great surprise! Especially the fireworks!! If anyone knows better, please feel free to correct me, it was almost as if they ran the entire fireworks portion of the show a 2nd time in less than one minute as the "finale." It was by far the most intense thing I've ever seen! The entirety of world showcase was daylight bright and it was LOUD, I actually took a few steps back from the fence line, lol
The anniversary tags are on a scale and budget that's on par with a Peace on Earth tag.

They have nothing scheduled for anything special on the 35th that will happen through out the day.
They have the little thing in the morning to commemorate the event. Merchandise on sale and then the fireworks. I feel that’s decent for the 35th. 35 isn’t exactly a huge anniversary like 25, 50, etc.

Just wish they would have been selling a pair of SE Mouse ears rather than the "Beanie Cover" They did for the 30th...That was just lame...

Seems like the prisms and Figment are featured prominently on the #Epcot35 merchandise. Is there any chance at all that this is a hint of their return? I only ask because I haven't really seen them featured that much since their removal. (I know I am dreaming to hard here).

Random thought: Someday someone will invent a real holodeck and then we'll be able to experience Epcot Center again!

Figments been used a bunch since the V2 screw up. But he does seem to be gaining popularity.

What is that?

Anyone else notice how the Horizons icon is/was missing on the 35th button shown in one of the pictures on the main WDWMagic article?

Neat! It's nice having the previews in such good quality. @marni1971 , I think there's some good quality footage you can use in there, mainly the previews of the pavilions. Example, the Imagination one in it was slightly sharper then the one in your newest video.

Man, this video is amazing and painful at the same time.
Agreed. It's nice to have them openly acknowledge the parks origin and original opening setup.
