I've gotta say, I'm disappointed if it is closed. We missed being at the 25th Celebration by leaving two weeks before it happened. We've not been back since but will be there a week from tomorrow. I've been looking forward to seeing it. Alas, it looks as if I will only get to see the doors.

Good luck!:(

It's gone.. closed... done-for... overwith.... CM informed me today that the 'open this week' on the times guide was a typo, and that it is now CLOSED for good!

Sad to see it go... But, alas it was temporary, and has been there for quite some time for a temporary exhibit..

Hopefully they'll stow all of that great stuff and use to again in another exhibit.. I wouldn't mind a 'history of WDW' exhibit somewhere in epcot or perhaps in the downtown area would be nice...

Where are a lot of the exhibits from the old image works still upstairs at imagination? Why are there countless tarps covering usable AA's in SSE? Why is an entire pavillion shuttered with useable rides/attraction (Wonders of Life), and the lights are on in there?

Lights on mean nothing.. it's not necessarily as easy as flicking a switch for that or the music.. Not sure that everyone knows/appreciates that all of these things are computer controlled.. it's not like there's a tapedeck on a loop behind the model of spaceship earth plugged into the overhead speakers that someone hits rewind on in the morning :)

Like I said... Gone... but certainly not forgotten :)!

The things you mentioned are expensive labor intensive things. This is simply just a room.

That's a shame if it's closed for good. Originally, the Epcot 25 Gallery was supposed to remain open until Dec 31. 2008. File this under 'subject to change without notice.'

But One Man's Dream is still at the Studios. That was supposed to be a "temporary exhibit" for the "100 Years Celebration". Why would this be any less? Do they have something they need to replace it with (because space is tight there - WoL:lol:)? It dosen't cost that much to keep it open, does it (1 or 2 CMs for the day)? Hopefully, it will be because they are adding an overlay for "The First 25 Years" and keep it open and add a "preview exhibit" (and prerequisite DVC pitch ) for Epcot.

Well.. you can dilute yourself all you want..

It's closed....

For good..

Not re-opening..

It's Gone.

Yes, One mans dream was temp and is still there.. however, having said that.. One mans dream was part of a MASSIVE worldwide disney parks marketing campaign....

The 25th gallery was part of a small fan-influenced celebration that lasted one afternoon/evening..

The contrast between the two is great... I would compare the 25th gallery to say.. one of the short-lived pavillions at food and wine, or flower and garden.. it's a fleeting exhibit at best..

I heard from a monorail driver's cousin's wife that the space is needed for a new DVC kiosk selling points in "opening in 2011" DTV. DTV being descent tunnel villas. Stay right in Epcot traveling aboard Spaceship Earth. Only 125 points a night (250 on Fri/Sat).

I totally understand why it's closed, it was open 1 year to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Epcot which has now gone. Though, I would add if there's no planned replacement, then just leave it open!
