Weekday Food and Wine was always walk up even before limited attendance.

I imagine now weekdays are practically empty. Even if they let more locals in how many would show up on a Monday afternoon?

Epcot has reservations available for almost every day for all tickets. The tourists are the missing. Not locals who want to go but can't.
Maybe, but I for one would've gone today if I could've just shown up but I've got 3 days booked already

Sorry you’re not allowed to have an opinion on what you would do, the experts on this board have already decided that you wouldn’t have gone!
I think the 3 days thing is severely limiting locals. I'd like to see them lift it to 5 days at a time. Or 25.

But they've already got our money. They want to leave space for people paying $125 a day. Not sure if I blame them.

There should be up to 3 reservations that guarantee you a slot, but if there is room in the park your pass should get you into the park. That’s what you paid for when you bought your pass.

I think Epcot could use a bit of an evening pick me up.

Locals who want to go but can’t because they have weekend slots taken up already for MK, AK, and HS that’s nearly leaking into October.

Cancel your advanced reservation for MK or AK. Book Epcot for tomorrow. After going to Epcot, rebook your MK or AK for next month because it's still available. Profit?

That’s basically what I did tonight! Still feels like a gamble if you’re trying to book only one or two weekends out next, but while in the frozen queue at 9pm I booked MK for next Saturday.

I would make a lottery system for APs each morning and afternoon for each park.
-1 hour before park open (MK: 8am, Epcot: 11AM, DHS 9am, and AK: 7am) to fill in a large % of the available slots not taken by resort or day guests.
-Let a certain number of Aps "Win" the lottery and be allowed to visit that park that day
-Let APs join the lottery as a group (that way a family or couple can win together)
-Run another lottery with 5 hours left of park time to cover guests that might have left for the day or no shows (MK: 2PM, Epcot 4PM, DHS 3PM, AK 1PM)

Rules:
-Does NOT count against your 3 guaranteed entries
-Winning the lottery and failing to show up before park close will ban you from any lottery for a week
-Once you win a Lottery, you can not enter another one for the day

This would allow the parks to fill up with APs that hopefully will spend some money on food or merch, without having to sacrifice day ticket or resort guest access until an hour before opening.

These photos of an almost empty Epcot are really sad, and scary for disney. I am not an AP, but feel they need to open this up more for the AP people who paid for this privilege. They need their locals now more than ever. I am out of state and not planning on our yearly trip to wDW until this is all over. It's not safe to fly for us at this point. It's really crazy that disney doesn't open up more for the locals.
