Keep going. Next you'll be justifying his and his entire family's execution.
You led the thread my friend."I don't have a good point to rebuttal with so I'll just create some extreme hyperbole while continuing to miss the point entirely."
Based on what I saw in the video, even the kid didn't seem all that eager to take another ride...One last ride, man, he rode it before and wants to do it again, what an a hole. People like him probably have his kids tell him what to do
They don't call us "massholes" for nothing...Oh, an East Coaster. Explains everything!

It would have hurt one thing. There is a rule, one that most Disney guests know. Making any exception would encourage more inappropriate behavior from others. Thus, the CMs were 100% correct in enforcing the rule.I agree. But literally it wouldn’t have hurt one thing to let him ride.
It was silly of him to make a big deal about it. It was even sillier of the cm’s to fight back when they had room in the cue.
Living in Massachusetts, I cringed when he said that! They don't call us "massholes" for nothing...
I've known people from the state of MA. Some are actually proud to be called a mass-hole. Looks like a pride thing. They don't call us "massholes" for nothing...

This video has been making the rounds on Facebook:
Summary: He approaches the entrance to the carousel at 8:01. Park closed at 8:00. The Cast Member says its closed. The man starts filming her, trying to intimidate her into letting him in. He argues that there are people in line that haven't ridden yet. She, doing exactly what she is supposed to do per the job, states that they have to cut the line at some point, and if she lets him in, she has to let everyone else in to be fair. He continues to berate her but walks away when they start contacting someone else to assist, possibly security.
99% of the comments are telling him he is 100% wrong, but he is instead going on this weird crusade against Cast Members. Oh, he also is an anti-masker who continually films himself ignoring the rules, taking his and his kids' masks off. I get it, "don't give stupid people attention", but also this man deserves to lose his job over this.
Do not be this guest. Do not act entitled and bully frontline employees for doing their job. Do not be trash.
Also, if you are a Cast Member, I would refrain from commenting on his stuff.
Whoever coined the term "the customer is always right" deserves a good punch. It just coddled and built an entire business based on customer abuse.Yes but isn't this the new American way. Complain so much and get things handed to you. (sarcasm but the sentence is true in a way)
The service already closed. Why are you complaining about service you're buying when you are already past the service you bought?Cause I could care less that you’d like to go home and it’s unrelated to the service of product I’m buying.
Why does this read like the infamous "Pool's closed" meme from that hotel game...Saw it at the poly pool once...wilderness lodge guests trying to get in because their pool was closed.
I was there like:View attachment 508172
I relocated to TN in 2013. Was driving around looking for a rental and pulled into a subdivision and people I'd never met were just waving at me. I'm thinking " is this stepford ****?" After a bit it grew on me, saying hi and waving to people. Was visiting MA one year and said good morning to some rando as I was walking into a grocery store. He scowled "You talking to me?" I put my head down and scurried on my way as I'd clearly forgotten where I was. lolI've known people from the state of MA. Some are actually proud to be called a mass-hole. Looks like a pride thing.
Sounds like those people who keep missing the cruise despite being warned multiple times about the ship leaving them if they were not on board by the agreed time.i used to work at a tourist railroad and people would ask us to have the train back up and pick them up if they missed it. “It just left 5 minutes ago, it can’t be that far down the track” - this happened more than you would think. Ha.
Those that believe he should not be fired?
1) The dad is not completely wrong. That carousel will start another round several minutes later. With 90% of the horses empty. All it takes is four seconds to undo the rope, let the little boy in, close rope. It's not unreasonable.
2) Cancel culture and 'off with his head, move on to next victim' mob culture are annoying as hell.
3) A sense of perspective and proportionality. Lives should not be destroyed over some inconsequential public irritation. I mean, come on now.
Justifiable outcome? Get a good night's sleep, wake up, notice the world still spins, get over it, go to work.
When I was trained by Disney they said “the customer is not always right. But we allow them to be wrong with dignity”Whoever coined the term "the customer is always right" deserves a good punch. It just coddled and built an entire business based on customer abuse.
"let 'em drive 90, it's no skin off my nose..." Until they wreck 5 miles down I-75, bringing both sides to a standstillWhen I was trained by Disney they said “the customer is not always right. But we allow them to be wrong with dignity”
I’d still just let him into the cue. Not worth a fuss over. It’s like people cutting in line at Disney world, sure it’s unfair but starting a fight with them isn’t going to help anything, easier to just let them go and wait all of 30 more seconds.
