IMO, MSEP is alot more entertaining than Spectro (crazy horn blowing clown things anyone?) And why on earth would they ever put it in Epcot? Epcot is not a 2nd rate park to dump a parade in...and MSEP is not a second rate parade to be shoved to the side because of Spectro.

Because Epcot has a lot of capacity for a nice nighttime parade along the lagoon. And MSEP can fit in any Disney park. It just can- I can easily see it in Epcot (although it is going into MK). Spectro can hold its own and doesn't need to be replaced by MSEP, but I think it's a win/win if Spectro gets some updates while down.

Glad there will be a new daytime parade, but I'm a little devasted that I won't be seeing Spectro my next trip if this is true... :/

Why not move MSEP to Epcot? or DHS?

Epcot really doesn't have the viewing space for it. ToD was a wonderful parade, and a I really miss it, but the viewing was really difficult. Plus, it wouldn't fit in Epcot themewise at all.

It could fit in DHS themewise, and there is a parade route there, but the music is much fit for MK.

IDK,maybe because it is called the Main Street Electrical Parade.

DCA has no Main Street. Not an issue.

This is true, but I think the only reason it is in DCA right now is to attract guests to give that park some form of nighttime entertainmrnt until WOC debuts.

The reason for any nighttime parade or attraction is to attract guests.

Noooo!

I really hate MSEP's music.

You need your ears examined! MSEP's music > Spectro's music by a lot.

This is great! As much as I love Spectro, I'd love to see MSEP come down WDW's Main Street. Never seen it once (at least that I recall).

I think I saw it when I was 10 or so, right before it got replaced by SpectroMagic. I'd love to see it again, but it looks like I'll miss it by a couple weeks. I love Spectro as well, and I don't understand the bashing it gets. To me, it's a staple of the park, and just one of those things I can't really judge objectively. The music alone triggers a subconscious feeling of "I'm in the Magic Kingdom now" because I heard it so often as a teenager.

Mind you, I'm not against change. I just acknowledge that there are some things that take getting used to. ;)
