But this is WDW's most popular restaurant, and people who just want to order dessert so they can cheaply see the inside are abusing the privilege of ADRs to the exclusion of other guests.
Interesting phrasing. "Abusing the privilege of ADRs..."

I'd say people are just using the system as Disney set it up, loopholes and all. Of course, that's going away now...

You know what is funny about this discussion, the last two times we went for dinner, the place seemed empty, it was not even close to full, I promise, so it would seem that it would not be to hard to get for dinner, it seems to me that the early morning breakfast prior to park opening is the only one that is hard to get, the more I think about it

Well when I went for dinner, it was absolutely packed and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes from our ADR time for a table. What times were your dinner ADR's for, out of curiosity?

Most articles/forums/blogs agree that it's a hard to get ADR, no matter what the meal time. I certainly found that when I had to switch up our plan as we couldn't get the day nor the time that we wanted for dinner.

When I first read about the prix fix menu I thought it was a good idea and would potentially speed up the turn around time. I even liked the choices however, as far as 2 credits now for what amounts to the addition of an appitizer there is no way I would eat there. I would rather use two credits at the Boat House to order that huge stuffed lobster dinner.

I have a few problems with this change. Last year I had lunch and dinner here and I enjoyed the experience with my DDP. The QS lunch was perfect and the TS was not too bad either especially with the Beast being there.

But now it's 2x credits for the DDP and kids eat for $35. But you're not getting a better experience from my point of view. I have 3 kids and paying that much for a loud cafeteria atmosphere where the Beast runs back and forth from his bedroom and you meet him after standing in line after dinner. For the same DDP credits or a small addition in cash, I can do CRT for a much much better kid experience.

They either need to reduce it to 1 DDP, or reduce the cost of the kids meals in my opinion. OR completely revamp the experience inside the dining room to make up for the increase costs.

So, BOG will now be a 2 table service credit "signature" meal? So, you're saying when I opt to use two credits, I'll have to somehow choose between California Grill, Jikos, Tiffins, Hoop De Doo, or BOG? Ugh, that decision is going to be SO difficult to make! ;) (Don't get me wrong, BOG was fun and all, but for the same number of credits? Give me ANY of those others anyday...)

Especially when you bother to do the math.

If a TS is worth about $40, you are forcing DDP people to pay $80 for a meal that costs those without DDP $55.

Dont get fleeced!

Here’s the new dessert option — the only one.

A Dessert Trio: a raspberry macaron with lemon filling and fresh raspberries, a maraschino cherry dipped in dark chocolate with hazelnut topping, and a white chocolate cup with the grey stuff.

That is exactly the reason our dinner at BOG during our June trip - before the change - will most likely be our last time at BOG. Sad, but not stupid enough to do it under the new plan.
