Trip Report englanddg's Spook-a-dee-doo-dah

Well, I haven't finished the previous trip report, but another trip is coming...

Not much to this pre-trip.

We are booked at the Nick hotel.

We plan to go to Sea World on our second day (Sat)...

And we'll have fun on Sunday at the Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party...

All is done and booked aside from the flights...

There had been some questions if she was still alive...

She is. Having her coffee and enjoying the music with her friends...

You should have asked me. I've seen the teddy bear lady on 5 trips this year, most recently last month.
Can anyone guess what is getting a second chance from me?
1900 Park Fare. Will be interested in your review as we have dinner ressies there in February after the Princess Half.
Wait a second...something is out of place here!
Yeah, those drink menu illustrations of Paradise Pier at DCA do not belong in a book at WDW! Another example of cost cutting.

Tonight, was amazing. I want to write more, but I have a lot of packing to do, as we don't have checked bags...so, need to fit all the goodies and stuff into her carry on.

Thank goodness I booked later flights out tomorrow. The plan is still we'll grab breakfast here at Nick in the morning, and then depart.

I have a lot to say about this trip, most of it good to amazing, but I probably will not get to any of that until tomorrow or later this week.

That said, the night ended (at Disney) with us walking out of the park as Thriller (the long play version of it, that's something like 10 - 15 minutes long) played over the Disney sound systems...a perfect ending for a pretty much spot on perfect day!

What a blast. Learned a lot about the party, and already thinking about how to squeeze a trip in next year for it, and maybe instead of an offsite, do a day at Epcot to see Food and Wine instead.

That said, this makes me doubly excited for the Christmas trip in about 7 weeks. The kid is already thrilled about that and very much looking forward to it (and says she wants to make our "touring plans" for it...ok, sweety, have at it!).

Otherwise...I am exhausted, but there is work to be done!

Really impressed by the buffet pictures you've shared at the Nick. I also think a buffet is good for a kid, as some kids are picky eaters, and they can choose exactly what they want for breakfast from a buffet assortment.

How's the temperature down there--still hot and humid, or has it mellowed a bit from the summer temps?
Hot, not so much humid. It's more enjoyable than summer, for sure...but, I packed all jeans (because, even in ATL, only a bit further north, I would find jeans and a tshirt comfortable), and frankly every day I wished I'd packed my normal shorts and t-shirt for our park days.

Nights were extremely pleasant, and I didn't need a coat, though it gets a bit nippy after midnight and early morning...but nothing terrible unless you are going to be out in it for very long.

For the most part, while more comfortable, I'd still plan any future October trip to this area with the exact same wardrobe I pack for August...I just am not hot and sticky all the time like what Summer weather brings! It would have been extremely pleasant had I brought that wardrobe. Otherwise, it was still comfortable (jeans and t-shirt), but a bit warm by mid afternoon for my taste in those clothes...

Those were really fun pictures! I love your daughter's enthusiasm and energy. By the way, was that really Hulk Hogan in one of the pictures? That picture came out dark, but it sure looked like him!

That's amazing that the elderly woman with the "towel baby" is still visiting in the lobby of the Grand Floridian. Mark my words, whenever she passes on, her ghost will haunt the lobby. There will be sightings . . . ;)

No, not the real Hulk Hogan. Just a VERY good costume worn by a buff guy that has a similar build and pulls it off well.

I wish I had the camera out when he pulled out of the station because he did the signature hulk arm flex move for all of us waiting in line as the car pulled out.

He was hilarious, doing the voice and everything.
