DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Or hope for the day that WDW fans will actually be happy with the multiple projects and significant investment they've been given that they don't need to constantly ask for the DLP's Lion King ride that is part of that resort's latest investment budget from 2018??

Is Disney giving us some free tickets I don't know about?

Nobody should be grateful to the 200 billion dollar megacorp for inadequately investing in their underbuilt theme parks. Disney doesn't deserve praise for doing something they should have done 15 years ago.

Disagree in the fact that I am not holding Josh and Bruce responsible for something that other people didn’t do 15, 10 or even 5 years ago. For the sake of discussion, let’s say Josh gets the CEO position. Bruce said that he came back because of Josh. If this pair continues on this path of park expansion, domestically and globally, along with building NEW attractions instead of creating copies a lot the time, I will give them credit for getting the parks on a better path.

Josh is the least bad of the known choices that are out there. I don't see Bob ever picking a true creative to run the company. Therefore, we should all be rooting for Josh because he would be Walt Disney himself compared to Jimmy Pitaro or Dana Walden. If either of them were CEO they would make Bob Chapek look like a joke when it comes to the damage they would do to the parks/brand.

There are far more new attractions instead of copies over the last 10 years across all the parks globally.

A time travelling dinosaur ride fits in AK just as much as an Indiana Jones adventure ride.
This is, frankly, a ridiculous take. Once again, people are letting the state Dinosaur is in blind them to the perfect blend of theme, experience, thrill, and more that this attraction is/was.

As I've discussed on here several times, Indiana Jones is not an animal buff. Animals are usually obstacles to the artifact he is after.

The time-travelling dinosaur ride revolves around the pursuit of an animal, while encountering other animals and witnessing a major extinction event for those animals.

Oh, completely agree. Jeff is terrible at his job. I understand that in the corporate world, fiscal restraint is necessary. But in a theme park world, creativity and over the top experience are so needed. Jeff demonstrates none of that mindset. Penny pinching and non-creative in his approach, just like Paul Pressler. I couldn’t agree more about Josh moving him out of that role. Our cat is more creative than that guy.
I don't know much about Jeff but he was supposedly the one who forced WDI to mess up the story logic of the Haunted Mansion by shoving the Hatbox Ghost into an area he clearly does not belong in, just so he could save a few bucks that would have been required to build the character's Attic balcony like at Disneyland.

Apologies if I've missed this in the thread but what are your impressions from what you have seen?

Whilst I don't think Encanto is a good fit for DAK I feel like it's the best of a bad situation with the IP mandate that DAK gets a decent capacity, rain-safe, family friendly dark ride.
Pretty much how you described it in your second paragraph.

I mean they "Could" have themed it to this book..But, then they'd actually have to sit down and read it...

Plus the carnotarous is actually a South American dinosaur, so it’s not even necessary to remove the ride for tropical americas. Oh well.

They had no problem killing off the canon status of the majority of Star Wars books. I don't think an old Indiana Jones tie-in book would ever be on their radar.
These types of books always had a secondary status.

South America extends well beyond the tropics. The one carnotaurus skeleton was found a lot closer to Antarctica.
