More photos I just took of The Boneyard demolition from this afternoon (9/23).
All of the old rockwork for the play area was removed, revealing the foundations below:

Refer back to this report from 4 days ago (9/19) to see the aforementioned rockwork:
My son lost a Star Wars pin in the boneyard in 2014. Now that everything has been removed, could someone please check to see if it's still there? He'd be thrilled to have it back. Thanks in advance.

With this being the day Antonio gets his gift, it means they have handcuffed some potential story issues. Bruno cannot interact with anyone (that starts tomorrow) and Mirabel hasn’t started her investigation (So Luisa’s powers aren’t on the fritz and she knows nothing about Bruno other then he exists.) I really wonder why they anchored the entire ride at this time, either should have done a book report, or done a sequel ride.
The issue with doing a book report retelling of the movie is that remember, this is a ride in Animal Kingdom, it's going to have to connect to animals and/or nature somehow which the movie itself really doesn't. A sequel ride could work, but seeing as that would have to mean if an Encanto 2 ever happens, the ride has to work with that as well (and connect to animals and/or nature).

The ride would also be a good opportunity to show some rooms that weren't featured in the movie

Pepita's weather room could make for a great theme park experience
Ok spoilers for the ride: I have seen all the show scenes (and this could change if there are any major changes in the ride), and all the show scenes in the ride are all location that we've seen in the movie, so there really isn't anything new in terms of new locations that I can tell.

Though as mentioned by lentesta before, Pepa will apparently get a scene in the ride, though it's not in her room)

I also want a North America section. Feel they could replace the train with it behind Africa and Asia. Give me bears, deer, and more. With a Bambi ride or something.

A quote from Joe Rohde when asked about why they don't exhibit North American animals at Disney's Animal Kingdom:

"We tried to keep to animals that would thrive in the semitropical environment of Florida. And many of the animals that make America famous require a more temperate climate. Also, the American animals that do thrive in Florida are running around in the forest just outside the park."

So the idea was considered, but ultimately decided against. I do think it might have been cool though.

Personally I always wanted to see a something themed to the islands. You could relocate EPCOT's aquarial animals to DAK and have a land focused on sea life. However Tropical Americas does feel like a decent choice. Just not a fan of the no-animals aspect.

It's almost like maybe an Encanto attraction doesn't actually belong in Animal Kingdom?

What about Australia? I imagine they couldn't do an arctic land for the same reason they couldn't do a North America land - those animals probably wouldn't be able to handle the Florida climate.

The remaining rolling planters covering The Boneyard area have been replaced overnight with construction walls.
