I know you’re trying to be funny. It’s actually an appalling take at how backwards many are and how far standards in society have fallen. I work weddings and events on the side and I’ve seen dozens and dozens of people show up to a wedding (just at events this past summer) in jeans, t-shirt, and a baseball hat.

Will it? Three attractions are being replaced by... three attractions. It’s still gonna have the same capacity.

But those three attractions will have so much more capacity, it will be a boon to AK. FoP will be a walk-on! I mean, sure, it won't really move the needle much, but think of the optics Josh and Co. get from this!

Plus, all that 'Encanto' merchandise they think they'll sell...

Wellllllll.....

Depending what ride system Encanto goes with and the length (that's the real enigma here, because it can go a LOT of different ways regarding capacity), it would be a capacity increase.

If Encanto is an Omnimover, or a people eating boat ride, then I can see it turning the tide in favor of Tropical Americas. If it's a trackless ride that's gonna make to break down and cause issues, then that's an overall capacity loss.

Carousel and Triceratops Spin is probably a 1:1.

Indy is just Dinosaur with another fossil shoved in. Capacity remains the same.

The lure of a new area will also help drive people there versus the ghost town that was Dinoland typically. But the lack of animal exhibits will have people in corridors and not exploring to see said animals.

So, really, who knows? All comes down to what ride system Encanto utilizes.

Anyway, y'all grabbing your Dinoland merch off of eBay before prices go insane? I know I did!

It's due to its proximity to the parking lot just to its south. No room for animal enclosures.

There were already some animals in Dinoland. Nothing like tigers or gorillas, but there's a lot of smaller animals in the actual tropical region that they could technically use, if they wanted to. That last part is the issue.

Talking about capacity, I think it'll be just above 2017 levels, when Pandora opened.

The rides will be higher (due to Encanto, Indy will obviously be about identical to Dinosaur), but the loss of the games, playground and animal exhibits is something I take into account. It sounds like there will be something else added, read somewhere on here that an animal exhibit got swapped for a playground, but I'd place my bets that it'll be much smaller than what's there today.

Suppose we'll find out, but it seems revenue generating activities were the focus (shops and food options), outside of the two big rides.

[EDIT] Just wanted to ask this question, what are the chances of them adding LL to the Carousel?

It may be worse.

Folks will go to AK to see the new land. As you say the ride capacity could be the same, OR worse with NO STANDBY, only LL and VQ and no carnival games or bone yard for the folks who lost the VQ lottery.

All speculation at this point. We are many, many years off from finding out.

Who knows the entire theme park landscape in central Florida could be different as a result of EPIC.

Oooh! Nice try Universal! But it's a shame that River Adventure and the majority of the Orlando JP land is straight-up garbage full of barely functional AAs and the land sans a coaster that destroyed the sightlines is still largely stuck on opening day!

But hey! It's better than nothing 😏.
River Adventure is currently closed and Pteranodon Flyers is going on a year closed. So, by my count, they have “ride”, not “rides”.

Can't help but feel I'd be less concerned about capacity increase if they were building that rumored TLK flume at the same time... Does DAK have an anniversary anytime soon? Would've been a nice birthday gift to it for a -5 or a -0 ender.

Carnival game, animal exhibit and Boneyard capacity is something to keep in mind, yeah.

There's the rumored play area that came at the loss of animal areas (just shove some Rhea, Red-Foot Tortoises and some Caimans where the storks, tortoises and croc were???).

There's no equivalent to the carnival games, and I think they'd be pressed trying to get a equivalent for that apart of the land.

Can't help but feel Bob is sleeping on the Capybara Mukbang Feeding Experience he can make apart of DAK and upcharge for, think about it Bob! Everyone loves those guys, and you can just feed them a salad mix from Walmart or something!!

I understand they will install penny slots to be used to determine whether a guest can enter a restroom or just pee in the woods like the cheetahs for free.
