I bet Dinosaur will be around for at least all of 2025 AND all of 2026 according to Disney's new business rules:
Destroy.
Defund.
Delay.
Does it? Iguanadons lived in what is now Europe and Carnotaurus in the southern portion of South America.
Rise of the Resistance does. The problem is that none of the new attractions are clear “home runs” - they all have significant downsides. I love MMRR, for instance… but it replaced another attraction I ALSO loved, so it’s a lateral move. The closest thing to a pure “win” is Avatar Land, but that land still feels underbuilt and the water ride is one third of an attraction.
Nothing Disney has built recently in Orlando compares to ToT, the original Imagination, Splash Mountain…

It’s not being cancelled so it’s barely even worth talking about, but the framing of the attraction itself as guests encounter it is set in the United States.
A bet they lost in 2023.Very unlikely, not to mention a major Indiana Jones video game just released. Disney is betting on the IP.
An action movie starring an 80 year old man is a very different gamble than a ride with more name recognition than simply “dinosaur.”
Totally off the track, but it makes me wonder if Universal has made a mistake in putting so much capital into Harry Potter. There is no new Harry Potter content, will the enthusiasm die down? Of course JKR is still young enough to revisit and add content--right now she does not seem inclined. Overall, I do not see the same enthusiasm with Harry amoung young kids as there was 15 years ago. Who knows, Lord of the Rings has survived the test of time maybe Harry will too.An action movie starring an 80 year old man is a very different gamble than a ride with more name recognition than simply “dinosaur.”
The good thing about this attraction is that, much like the video game, they can make Harrison Ford as young as they want. The stunt show in DHS and the attractions in DLR and TDS prove that this character has longevity in theme parks.
They are doing a new show though, but that obviously will use new actors. Curious to see if the settings in the show will match the films or if Hogwarts and such will look and feel different.Totally off the track, but it makes me wonder if Universal has made a mistake in putting so much capital into Harry Potter. If the Harry Potter lands are mistakes, then Disney needs to make mistakes like these. I am not a fan of HP but these lands are so immersive that you don't need to be a fan to enjoy it.Totally off the track, but it makes me wonder if Universal has made a mistake in putting so much capital into Harry Potter. Which they then turned around and won the very next year. Dr. Jones is far from washed up.
I still think that in totality, Flight of Passage is the most impressive modern day Imagineering project. And since this is in the realm of opinion, I put this up with any of the domestic attractions.Rise of the Resistance does.
It is sad that I have been on only ONE of these attractionsI know OP meant specifically domestic parks, but as a whole the last 15 years had a pretty great roster of headliner rides
Rise of the Resistance
Flight of Passage
Radiator Springs Racers
Mystic Manor
Big Grizzly Mountain
Battle for the Sunken Treasure
Tale of Beauty and the Beast
Frozen Journey
Peter Pan's Neverland Adventure

I think even people that haven't read any of the books or seen any/many of the movies can still really enjoy and appreciate the lands - maybe they don't "get" all the details but they will still seem impressive, and assume that will be the case in the future
Figure similar for Pandora at AK, not everyone is super into Avatar (even if a lot have seen the movies) but can appreciate the land.
And optimistic the lands at Epic Universe will be similar - I haven't seen any of the HTTYD films, know nothing about it, but the land looks like it will be impressive
I think this is right for the best lands. I've never seen Avatar but think Pandora is great, and I know people who haven't read/seen Harry Potter but thought Diagon Alley was incredible. I'm not sure HTTYD is going to be at that level, though.
It looks relatively bland and uninteresting to me as someone who's never seen the films, but I could just be an outlier.
