DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

It feels like they are heading back that direction... but when it comes back to that it will look insane to spend $100 for your park admission and then literally $20-$50 for each ride... a day at the magic Kingdom could easily be $350/ person excluding Food and merch...
If we went by inflation an "E" ticket in today's dollars would be a little under $6. Of course, you only got a few rides included with your admission

In a new aerial photo from bioreconstruct, it appears backstage trailers have now been removed in preparation for the beginning of construction. Here are aerial photos from October 2024 and today:

The problem is that none of the new attractions are clear “home runs” - they all have significant downsides. I love MMRR, for instance… but it replaced another attraction I ALSO loved, so it’s a lateral move. The closest thing to a pure “win” is Avatar Land, but that land still feels underbuilt and the water ride is one third of an attraction.

Nothing Disney has built recently in Orlando compares to ToT, the original Imagination, Splash Mountain…
Rise of the Resistance does.

I have not been on Guardians or Rise yet, my favorite Disney attraction is Flight of Passage at the moment,

It’s not being cancelled so it’s barely even worth talking about, but the framing of the attraction itself as guests encounter it is set in the United States.

That would be easy to change, though. Certainly much easier/cheaper than retheming the entire attraction.

Regardless, I agree that they aren't going to cancel the Indy retheme and leave it as Dinosaur barring something crazy happening.

An action movie starring an 80 year old man is a very different gamble than a ride with more name recognition than simply “dinosaur.”
The good thing about this attraction is that, much like the video game, they can make Harrison Ford as young as they want. The stunt show in DHS and the attractions in DLR and TDS prove that this character has longevity in theme parks.

Totally off the track, but it makes me wonder if Universal has made a mistake in putting so much capital into Harry Potter. There is no new Harry Potter content, will the enthusiasm die down? Of course JKR is still young enough to revisit and add content--right now she does not seem inclined. Overall, I do not see the same enthusiasm with Harry amoung young kids as there was 15 years ago. Who knows, Lord of the Rings has survived the test of time maybe Harry will too.

They are doing a new show though, but that obviously will use new actors. Curious to see if the settings in the show will match the films or if Hogwarts and such will look and feel different.

I highly doubt the show has the same reach as the films though, which I do believe will stand the test of time better than most think.

If the Harry Potter lands are mistakes, then Disney needs to make mistakes like these. I am not a fan of HP but these lands are so immersive that you don't need to be a fan to enjoy it.
