DAK 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

We’re going in about 6 weeks. Should we be expecting any of Dinoland to be closed that quickly? I was hoping to let my kids play in the Boneyard for the first (and presumably last) time.

I'd have to guess Dinosaur is safe for the party season.

For reference, here are the conversion times for both versions of Tiana’s:

WDW- 522 Days (1/23/23 - 6/28/24)
DL - 535 days (5/31/23 -11/15/24)

And because it's brought up frequentlywhenever a retheme happens:

Frozen - 625 days (10/4/14 6/21/16)

So realistically it's safe to assume a 18ish month turnaround for Dinosaur to Indy is what we'll get

I would guess longer since they have to build a whole new setting and temple/jungle queue, the restaurant would have to be completely rebuilt and all of the hardscape of the area needs to dramatically change to support the theme of the new area... This is a lot more involved than just a re-dressing of sets and a new theme song...I would put it more at 2.5 to 3 years...from whenever they decide to actually start... The Encanto area could start now since the only thing they would be losing is the Triceratops Spinner...

I was assuming the restaurant would be part of the tropical village area and need a total gut and redo to match the look and tone of the new land...unless it is going to be themed to the archeology camp as it is now....

I was hoping we’d get one more holiday season. Hopefully they will still decorate what’s left of Dinoland. But this still seems foolish to close things in an already light on attractions park during the busiest time of the year.

This really stinks. I was hoping/expecting Dinosaur to still be open next year when I'm there, probably in July. Do they really think it's wise to take the whole of Dinoland down for the the summer? Seems like a recipe for long wait-times and unhappy guests.

AK is going to be very strained for 2025 and 2026 it seems. And let’s be for real, probably most of 2027.

Build the Encanto attraction, the Indiana Jones water ride that was considered a few years ago, and keep Dinosaur. The parks need more capacity and additional rides, especially Animal Kingdom. It's truly baffling how Disneyland gets so many new rides without needing to replace old ones, while WDW faces this kind of destruction...
