Embarrassing moments???

I was just wondering if anyone had any real embarrassing moments in the parks either at WDW or any of the other Disney parks. For me, off the top of my head, the most embarrassing would be our last visit when my semi tipsy friend decided to explain to the waitress that i only liked "girly" drinks...(ie: anything that doesn't include beer) and proceded to announce to the Rainforest cafe this very fact. she also proceded to ask the people next to us if theyre stuffed monkeys were gay. it was an interesting night. i'll try to think up another memory later, but i'd like to hear if anyone else has been really embarrassed on their trip.

embarrassing moment

Hey,
The first one i can think of is...One day when I was at Epcot during my first trip to WDW...it had been raining really hard...well the grippers of my fake birks sandals had pretty much worn off and i was walking under the ball...i slipped over a drainage/manhole cover, whatever it's called and did the splits in a denium skirt no less...it was SO embarrasing! everyone that was in the line for spaceship earth just looked at me....

A friend was trying to punch me as I was walking to the bathroom, in an effort to get away from her. I ran. I neglected to read the bathroom sign I went in.

I couldn't figure out why there were no urinals (ladies, thats where men stand up to do their business) I was washing my hands when a woman walked in. I laughed and told her she was in the wrong restroom, and she laughed harder and told me I WAS!

That´s hilarious bearboy!
It happened to me too... hehe... We were in some office building outside of the parks for Guest Relations trainning and during the break I went to the restroom, but I was so distracted that I didn´t even notice where I was going to. I opened the door and walked straight ahead looking at a friend of mine who was "doing his business" trying to cover himself! I kept walking until it hit me that something was wrong in the picture!  He must have thought I did it on purpose! Then I just ran out of there! The rest of the day, I couldn´t be with him! I was so ashamed and at the same time it was so funny, I still laugh! :D

This was actually quite scary plus embarassing. When I was 4, in 1981 I stopped at the waterfountain in the Magic Kingdom and suddenly I couldnt find my parents!!! I freaked out, being 4 years old and I cried until someone heloed me find them! Everytime I go to Disney World now, I always have to make a stop at the dreaded water fountain for some fond memories :)

I'll add to the bathroom stories...

I was so happy my first trip to WDW I just walked around in a daze. I kept walking in peoples pictures and losing my friends. Well one time we went to the bathroom at MGM and I was a little ahead of them and in a daze walked into the mens room. My friends started yelling "Jodi, your going into the mens room" but i was in such a daze i didn't hear them. People around were watching and laughing. It took me a while to realize the urinals but I was embarrassed to walk out and see a crowd laughing at me, but it I had to laugh.

I did it again a few days later in Epcot! lol

I love Disney!

LOL here is another bathroom story... When i was younger my brother and i were fighting. You know the kind where you punch them and then run away until they punch you back ( you can probobly see where this is going) anywho i was running to punch him back and went right into the mens wahsroom and into a large bald man who had just releaved himself. Being young at the time I was very very small compared to him and quickly backed out of the restroom. i awlays look at what bathroom i am going into now.:)

These are all hilarious! Here's mine...
It took place at the Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge (Im sure Im not the only one with an embarassing moment there, as the waiters and waitresses make it part of their job to embarass you). Being very young (like 8 or 9) I was a picky eater and liked everything plain, so I ordered the nachos with just cheese. The waiter was a little caught-off-guard, I guess I was the 1st person to do that. But anyways, about 5 min later our waiter burst out of the kitchen with a plate in his hand, on the plate was...just cheese. Fried cheese. He announced to all in the resteraunt that I ordered just cheese, by the time he placed the plate in front of me, everyone in the place was staring at me and laughing. Needless to say, I was very embarassed, and as the waiter put it "You just made my day son."

I remembered when I was 4 years old at Disneyland back in 1990. I was standing in line for the monorail, but I had to releave myself and fast! So, I walk to the Matterhorn near the waterfall and let her go! Everyone was laughing so hard!

Well, I haven't as good of a story as the rest of you have but I guess this could be categoried as an embarrassing moment. When I went to WDW for the first time back in 1985 I was 7 yrs. old. We were all eating at the character breakfast at the Polynesian. My mom ordered me scrambled eggs, I really didn't care for them much and just left my plate untouched. Well Pinochio saw this, came over and tried to get me to eat the eggs. I didn't wanna and protested loudly. He kept trying to stick the fork with egg on it into my mouth but I kept my mouth tightly closed and cried a lot. Finally he left. I'm sure everyone in the restaraunt had watched me. :)

Speaking of the Whispering Canyon Cafe in Wilderness Lodge.... hehe

My whole family went to Disney in 98, cousins, aunts, uncles. We all (all 17 of us) decided to eat at the whispering canyon cafe. The waiter all told us to get up and get our salad at the salad bar. And I should have known, because I was there before and I knew that there was no salad bar! But that was really embarassing. We all got up and were looking around, like "where the heck is it?"

One moment I shall never forget...
It was during the 25th Anniversary at the Magic Kingdom. My mom, dad, sister, brother-in-law, and myself had just finished eating at the Crystal Palace (as a side note I found a lady bug in my salad...) and.. well lets just say things didnt compute with my system. It wasn't long after we left the resteraunt that when we entered Adventureland.. I needed to use the restroom.. and FAST!! I got the the bathroom and had a MAJOR BLOWOUT. Needless to say... I was in there for a while.. and while I was in there... I noticed no-one was in there... when I left my mom said after two minutes of me being in there everyone came out holding their noses. THE MOST EMBARASSING THING.. I shall never forget that.. and if I try.. my family won't....

The first time we took my son to WDW he was 3. He usually eats like a horse, but do the excitement and awe of being at WDW, he wouldn't eat, drink or blink. After lunch we headed over to Mickey's Toontown Fair, and I noticed the dreaded ______-______ dance and wisked him off to the restrooms. Just the site of the toilets set him off. Before we could get through the stall door he had urinated all over himself and me. We had to buy all new clothes for him and myself, not the most cost effective way to shop for clothes in the middle of WDW. He's 9 now and I never let him pass the restrooms at MTTF without making sure he doesn't have to go..

Oh and then theres the time He and I rear ended the handicap kid and her mother on the Tomorrowland Grand Prix...but thats another story.

ok mine is-

u kno how they tell u to remeber where u parked ur car......well my dad didn't.....and when the park attendent dropped us of....my dad got that puzzled look on his face....and started walking around the parking lot.....bout 10 mins later we heard the parking attendent tell the riders..

" To your left u'll see a family who have been wandering around the Parking Lot in hopes of finding there car for the past 15 mins..... unfortuanitly they were a little slow this morning in remembering where they parked there car...and here they are folks.....just walking around!"

It was so embarrasing! and then to top it off....by dad sent off a car alarm....and security came.....and they thought my dad was in the parking lot trying to steal cars.....and so we had to get the parking attendent to explain to him why were in the parking lot.....

we did find our car though! :D

During a weekend Disney trip with family members, my husband and I had gone our separate way to the Haunted Mansion while leaving my brother-in-law alone with his 3 year old daughter. What could go wrong? :)

Standing in the packed circular room, everything quiet and spooky, our cell phone rings...and rings...and rings. I didn't realize it was mine until it had, of course, disturbed everyone. In his scary voice, the cast member said "TURN OFF YOUR PHONE!!". I felt quite chastised and finally found the button to turn the darn thing off. The other people on the ride just glared at me :)

In my defense, I found out later that my little niece decided to throw one major fit in the line for Peter Pan and my brother-in-law was freaking out and calling for help. *laugh*

Anyway, I hope that's the last time we get in trouble at Disney.
