This happened to my Dad........
We wre at the Haunted Mansion a couple of years back. As the GH finishes his little bit in the parlour we begin to move in to the portrat gallery, we could not believe how many people they were trying to squeeze in there! Then the CM said " Please step away from each and every wall and move to the dead centre of the room." but there was no where to move and the sliding door closed right on my Dad's leg!!! Needless to say, my Dad was not amused with this and he let the CM know. He said it was on a timer and he could not have done anything to stop it.
Maybe they should have a sensor to let the CM know someone is about to be squished.
Lets hope they dont get to carried away and install air gates....... I can picture it now..." Please stand behind the yellow line, the door is about to open automaticly, please hold on to small children and watch your step...........Por Pavor....."

Oh.. Haunted Mansion 2000.. Me and my sister just sat in the cart and a cast member stuck his head around the buggie and said "BOO" so quietly.. scared me half to death! I screamed so loud and everyone started laughing:lookaroun

Three years ago, while standing in line for Honet I Shrunk the Audience, I passed out cold and landed on top of my wife. I outweigh her by 80 pounds and, needless to say, she couldn't get up until I came out of it. I had heat exhaustion, by the way.
Also, once my father fell asleep in The Hall of Presidents. The show was over and everyone got up and left...except for my dad. We got outside and discovered that he was missing. We had to go back in and wake him because the people in the next group just went around him.

They do have sensors. Your dads leg was probably too low for it to see it, though.

well, not really embarassing to the point that everyone on the ride noticed but it'll never die witht he family...i rode ToT the first year they changed it to 2 drops form the top to bottom. i was, uh, much smaller then and being next to my 250 lb father and me weighing in well less than 100 lbs, i was holding on to that safety bar for dear life! the combination of me being small and being afraid of heights and dropping form them created a look of absolute horror on my face. it's always brought up whenever ToT is mentioned that is too.
the second story happened to my dad's friend while he, another friend and my dad went down to Florida to see the XFL's orlando rag eplay and they took a trip to pleasure island. my dad being the driver didn't drink very much, just got a buzz which was all he needed, but the other two, well, they were plastured! they stayed for the fireworks and after they ended one of them (scott) turned to the other (bud) and said, "So when do the fireworks begin?"-(scott) "Dude, you just saw them!"-(Bud) :lol:
