I wish they could update this film portion of the attraction, make it digital, would like to keep Ellen since she is current, funny and is already an AA in the attraction...

Make the film digital, maybe 3D??? :shrug:

Get rid of the whole Jeopardy story, get rid of Bill Nye, Jamie Lee Curtis and Einstein and create a new story line about how she learns about energy and put more focus on conservation of energy :sohappy:

Oh, I love that idea! Although, I think UoE is good, it's held up pretty well over the past years with Bill Nye and Ellen. I would be worried it would turn into the disaster that is Figment if they tried to change it...but your idea is sweet.

Truthfully, if Disney is updating Energy, they should drop Ellen and everything else. While I think the attraction is perfect the way it is now, I would love to see an updated film in the future. Maybe throw a few original characters in it.

I'm gonna miss EEA when UoE gets its eventual update. It's funny, has a point, it's honestly everything a Disney ride should be.

After watching it again, I think this is truly one of the greatest moments in Disney theme park history, and just about pitch perfect for EPCOT Center. What I would like to see happen with the next version of the Universe of Energy is for them to expand and really refine the detail of this sequence with modern CGI. Imagine walking into Theater One after the pre-show and just hearing the whine of that single, infinitely-dense point of matter. As you're getting seated, you wonder what that sound is and what's going on. The lights dim and your seats start rotating to reveal that point of light behind you, all the while the sound is becoming more high-pitched and intense. All of a sudden, that single point EXPLODES and you follow the slow, intense formation of the Universe...

They could even play around with it some, like have you enter Theater One with it reasonably dim, and have a point of light at the apex of the room. When everyone is seated and ready to go, the curtains on either side could rise to reveal to reveal the re-installed mirrors, and use them to help immerse you in the Big Bang. Lots of possibilities.
