Ellen needs to become prehistoric, in other words GONE!

Am I the only one that think the whole "Ellen" thing has run it's course? She's really not even a maga star anymore. She's barely on prime time TV if at all anymore. The younger crowds are losing touch with her and soon will not even know who she is.

I say it's time to move on with something else.

I must be honest, in all the times I have been to Epcot, I have NEVER ridden Ellen's Energy Adventure. Why? Because I HATE Ellen. So natually I'd agree, demolish it!

Ellen is kind of annyoing after a while. Of course I think the whole ride really needs a makeover. Maybe some quicker pacing and better AA's.

I imagine it will be there for quite a while, even though it is one crappy show/ride.

The reason why? Imagine the uproar from the gay activists when they take her out. "Only removing it because shes a lesbian" etc etc. Which I can guarantee will happen. But its not even fair to Disney because she hadn't "come out" yet when she was put into the ride.

While I do wish they would pull the Ellen AA's out o fteh dinosaur section, she is probably a bigger star now then she was when the attraction was changed to include her, what with finding Nemo and her new talk show. I don't think shen is going anywhere soon.

I agree. When it comes to people's lifestyles, all logic goes out the window and they will vigerously persue anything that they initially view as discrimination.
So in order to pacify the activists, they'll have to replace Ellen with Rosie O Donnel

The new ride is so much better than the old one. especially that “30” min snooze fest at the end of the ride showing how fuel work there wonders good I remember being 12 and wanting to get up and leave if I saw another oil tower or car driving across the road.

Though her voice is in finding Nemo, for some reason, I just feel it didnt make her any more popular and that unless you remind people that her voice was in there, they'd never think of it.

That may be, but her Talk Sjow is very popular, and people in Hollywood really seem to admire her.

That may be true, but we're talking about middle income American in Orlando, Fl.

As much as I dislike Ellen, she is the perfect person for Dory's voice in Finding Nemo and she did do a great job. But whenever I see the movie, I don't think Ellen. As for the talk show... who really watches that?

There's a perfect reason right there to remove her from the ride. ;)

My son was three last time we rode it, and we only did it because he was too young to ride dinosaur and was all up in arms about seeing the dinosaurs.

By the end of the ride he was sleeping. And what's with the cheesy time-warp effect near the end. I think I was this close to going into a seizure <->

The only reason I liked the ride to begin with was because of the dinosaurs, so I can't imagine it being any different now. I like the uniqueness of the ride system itself and wish there was a good way to preserve it while fixing the ride, but I think a full fledged dark ride would be better than what they have now, or just trash the place and put in something else like New Horizons or Timer Racers.

Since I work for a living (I know that may be hard to believe based on my time on this site) I do not watch the show, but I have seen it before and it is really good. I think it is the thing she is best at. She can use her Stand-up routine stuff in a fresh way. Must say I don't go for her lifestyle, but as a person, I actually do like her.

"SHALE!! THE ROCK THAT BURNS!!" The last version of this attraction was a snorefest. The current one isn't too bad. It's cute with Ellen in it. There are aspects that I wish were upgraded, but compared to its earlier incarnation, it's plenty fine.

Believe me, Ellen is far better than the infomercial they used to have. OK, I missed the moving screens, but videos had to go.

The problem isn't Ellen, it's the storyline and the fact that the ride is little more than a couple of movie theaters. Who cares who the announcer is, anyway? They can put other people in there that you wouldn't have a clue who they are, and nobody would get tired of them, but as soon as it is someone they recognize, people complain that they are old and stale.

I agree with you. The only thing that I miss from the old attraction is the songs. If they would have found some way to keep them the new attraction would be just fine. Except I didn't really like them adding Ellen as an animatronic. That was a little bit cheesy in my opinion. But I do think that Ellen is pretty funny at times.

I don't know why everyone dislikes this attraction? For me and my family, it's a must-do when we go to Epcot. With WoL and LS pretty much dead it doesn't leave much to do in FW. My parents like UoE and the music is catchy in the beginning. The only drawback is the length of this ride. It's TOO long!! I still like it though. A makeover wouldn't make me mad or anything, but I think it's fine the way it is. The old one used to be horrifying.
