Any openings for Second Vice President?

Well...for me...Ellen is one of my favorite people. She is one of the best comedians I know that can tell jokes with out using any bad language. As for UoE...she is wonderful. I find her and Bill Nye work wonderful together. I went on UoE this past December and no matter how many times I ride it...I enjoy it. I just wish that it would be release on video or DVD just for home viewing...that's how much I enjoy watching her...

I wouldn't be offended if Ellen was removed, nor would I think it would be discrimination if they did. IMHO, it would be nice if a 30 minute attraction had some action to it.

That being said, I find it hard to believe some of you actually 'hate' someone as inoffensive as Ellen. Her humor is not political or activist, as any of you who've watch her (extremely popular) talk show can testify to.

I can think of only one reason to 'hate' Ellen, and I think that's really sad.

Epcot is my fav

Yeah shes great......i think that since the ride is so outdated and old people turn to Ellen as the problem....I think Ellen is great to have in an attraction......Maybe they will bring her as the voice of Dory in a Nemo ride......im sorry for all those Ellen "haters" but you are bashing her...when you really wanna bash the terrible ride

She is one of the funniest people on television today..........she will never be better then my favorite Lucille Ball but she still is enjoyable........her DVD Here and Now is so funny everyone should rent it!!!!

i am sure they cannot afford it

I am sorry to say this but if Disney cannot afford to keep whole areas of there parks the time some of the park is open, they sure cant afford to change pieces of there rides.

They are just refurbing small world and that opened in 1971

The dinosaur animatronics are pretty good in that ride/show so anyone that has not seen it, do it.

I have the ride/show on video on my site to.
www.bigfloridacountry.com

Was a hard video to get and still not complete. Your not allowed to video there because of the actors.

Personally, I find that EEA is an entertaining show (including the pre-show). I enjoy riding it and can ride it many times in one vacation. By taking out this ride, you are removing a critical part of EPCOT... The Learning.

Now, as to Ellen... She is a funny woman, perhaps one of the best known comics, has instant face value and name-recognition. EVERYONE knows who Ellen is.
Now, that also works both ways. Close-minded people who only see her for her -sexuality will refuse to ride the ride (like, to a point, some members of my family) simply because, oh no, Ellen is gay.
The simple fact remains that many, many, many, many, many )you get the point) people can ignore, accept, or see past that and ride a ride that is enjoyable, and classic Disney. I think what we really need to look at here is the simple question: Does it attract guests to come and ride, are the shows filling up with people. The last time I was at Disney, I would have to say, "absolutely!" And, as long as a ride is still attracting the guests, Disney will keep it open (A.E. non-withstanding)
It is a simple case of... if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I agree totally. I have ridden this ride several times and I just can't get over how much fun Ellen is. I had a feeling once that she was going to come out and talk to people. I wish she would. But besides that, EEA is a fun ride that will keep people entertained at anytime of the day...

That's never stoped them before. The only reason I have a problem with it is because I miss the old school epcot. I still have to ride Ellen :D, so I can't judge how good she is yet (lol), but I'd rather have a full fledged dark ride like SSE on energy with dinos, an ocean oil rig in a storm, field of modern wind mills, Journey thru inner space like portions ect., could be special.
