And as far as Iger doing nothing, coming from three cm's that I know, Iger has reopened traditional animation, and a new movie is due out in a couple of years with traditional animation! Ok I'm off my soapbox.

From things I've read and heard, (which may be wrong) it sounds as though Lasseter reopened Traditional Animation, and Lasseter and Jobs are running the company. In my opinion, it sounds to me that Iger bought PIXAR because he didn't know anything else. When Eisner came into Disney, it seems most people he employed were from Paramount. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Iger hasn't really worked anywhere but ABC and Disney. He needed creativity because, in my opinion, he lacks in that area.

I look at Eisner like a Good Coach in Professional sports. He had a good "team" to coach. Had some "chamoionship years", Than made a few bad "Draft pics" had some losing "seasons" and the fans lost faith in him and out he went.

very well said.... the straw that broke me was the initial separation of Pixar from Disney's marketing distribution.

That lone decision was a complete "Dee... Dee-Dee*" on his part. Despite the demands by Pixar... you don't give up on the success they have generated for your animation & film company. Profit sharing from the movies, dvd sales, merchandising, theme-park tie-ins, etc... how could you let them just walk away from the table??

I'm just glad it got fixed and they are a permanent member of the Disney family.

* for those of you in Rio-Linda... this is the catchphrase for "stupid" that was created by Carlos Mencia - Stand up comic and host of Mind of Mencia comedy TV show.

Agreed! You can't let a cashcow walk away from the table. Regardless, you have to work something out. I to am glad about the Disney/Pixar relationship

Woo hoo, my enormous post didn't start another controversy.

That's probably because it's so long that no one read it.
