OK. I shall justify this thread. In June '02 50 members of my family and I invaded the Hoop-Dee-Doo donned in LSU shirts. To everyone who may have been there, that was just us letting you know that we were gonna win. :sohappy:

One heck of a game...thought for sure LSU would lose it in the last few minutes, but they held on!!!!!!

(should have seem me, sitting here yelling at the tv like a nut! :lol: )

we have the trophy, not usc

i just watched the news at noon, they were filming the tigers returning to br, there were like a million people waiting at the stadium. the bus was covered with the nokia national champions stuff, it was insane!

also, they said there's going to be a "parade of champions" downtown on january 24th, i think. it will honor both lsu and southern.

OTOH, If USC had picked a harder schedule, they would have won.

If I (or everyone) were to post all my/there off topic/ non wdw topic crap in News & Rumors... there would be NO WDW news and rumors, in News & Rumors. :lol: :wave:

OK, you're new.....I'll cut some slack.....chit chat gets PLENTY of traffic.

Now, as to USC's schedule, they are made out at least 3 years in advance and it's not like they handpick games on a weekly basis. Being in the SEC, LSU played a murderous schedule. OU outside of the Big 12 had a very weak schedule and really didn't have that tough of one in the conference. USC played the schedule handed to them and when it comes down to the Alabama/Hawaii game affecting what bowl game USC plays in, this strength of schedule thing is getting a little ridiculous.

I'm glad LSU won, but don't want to cram anything down OU's throat with snide comments.

If the margin of victory was included like last year USC would have been in the Sugar Bowl and LSU would have been out.
