I apologize for being stupid, but I was basing the "no one in chit chat" comment on other forums where that place is as deserted as a showing of Gigli. And anyone who watches SNL would know that "strategery" was a Will Ferrell GWB moment. I'm new, I admit it.

LSU could not have picked a weaker non conference schedule.
August 30 Louisiana Monroe W 49-7 1-0 (0-0 SEC)
September 6 at Arizona W 59-13 2-0 (0-0 SEC)
September 13 Western Illinois W 35-7 3-0 (0-0 SEC)
September 20 No. 11 Georgia W 17-10 4-0 (1-0 SEC)
September 27 at Mississippi St. W 41-6 5-0 (2-0 SEC)
October 11 No. 17 Florida L 19-7 5-1 (2-1 SEC)
October 18 at South Carolina W 33-7 6-1 (3-1 SEC)
October 25 Auburn W 31-7 7-1 (4-1 SEC)
November 1 Louisiana Tech W 49-10 8-1 (4-1 SEC)
November 15 at Alabama W 27-3 9-1 (5-1 SEC)
November 22 at No. 18 Mississippi W 17-14 10-1 (6-1 SEC)
November 28 Arkansas W 55-24 11-1 (7-1 SEC)
December 6 at No. 11 Georgia W 34-13 12-1 (8-1 SEC)
January 4 vs No. 3 Oklahoma W 21-14 13-1 (8-1 SEC)
Louisiana Monroe, Western Illinois, Louisiana Tech - These teams are weak opponents even if they scheduled them 3 or 4 years ago.
Florida 8-5, Miss State 2-10, South Carolina 5-7, Auburn 8-5, Alabama 4-9
If the margin of victory was included like last year USC would have been in the Sugar Bowl and LSU would have been out.
That's why there is such a thing as strength of schedule. Had USC, OU, or LSU scheduled UK, then Michigan at #4 would have been playing for the NC. :lol:Originally posted by JBSLJames
I notice that none of the top three teams had the cajones to schedule Kentucky :lookaroun :lookaroun
Bottom line is that the only way to truly fix the problem is to go to a play-off system, utilizing the Bowls to decide a National Champion. I'd say to go with the top 8 teams in the country.

I do recall the year before where it took a freak play by LSU to beat the Wildcats in Lexington. I think ESPN put it as their play of the year.

Yes...yes they did. Man, that was funny! I bet when their coach (ol' what's-his-name) had to shake Saban's hand while soaked in Gatorade it was mighty embarrassing...
As for basketball...all I have to say is...baseball season is coming soon!!!
GEAUX TIGERS!!!!
Whoo!! Morris took a giant step forward in moving from Kentucky to Baylor.Originally posted by JBSLJames
The coach, Guy Morris, left UK for a team in the big 12.

Francione out to be successful at A & M if he stays long enough. Great coach, but he didn't do right in how he left Alabama.
As for Morriss, I still don't know why he made the move he did. Baylor is going nowhere fast. I don't even know how they are still a member of the Big 12.

I do think that Guy made a mistake. He had Kentucky going in the right direction. As for the move to Baylor...I think he is a Baylor Grad.
Of course, as a Kentucky fan, I tend to root for SEC schools when UK is not represented, especially in Bowl games. Way to go LSU.
