News Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours coming for resort guests

With Disney’s apparent challenges in filling their resorts, I’d think they would consider extending early entry to an hour instead of 30 minutes.

That's a lot of extra labor/operating time - it's 14 more hours a week of park operations.

If they added evening extended hours to both DHS and DAK weekly, that's only an additional 4 hours a week - plus that time allows for more shopping in those parks for non-Deluxe resort guests.

Plus existing early entry already does its satisfaction-boosting job decently of giving you a ride on an attraction or two prior to the appearance of the great unwashed. At most parks, that’s all you really need to smooth out the experience assuming you target the right stuff.

There's an interesting deviation in the upcoming Extended Evening Hours schedule as the rotation to other parks begins in late September.

On Monday, October 21, Extended Evening Hours is listed at Animal Kingdom, rather than EPCOT.

Here's a current look at the dates and park locations as they begin to shift:

Monday, Sept. 23: EPCOT
Wednesday, Sept. 25: Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Monday, Sept. 30: EPCOT
Wednesday, Oct. 2: Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Monday, Oct. 7: EPCOT
Friday, Oct. 11: Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Monday, Oct. 14: EPCOT
Wednesday, Oct. 16: Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Monday, Oct. 21: Disney’s Animal Kingdom

And 10/23 is DHS. I believe this is the first time AK and DHS was paired for a week.

I'm trying to project my November week and I honestly have no idea.

I think it’s telling that Animal Kingdom only has 4 real rides.

Does the ToL run Awakenings still when the park is open after dark? Honestly, that alone seems like a nice addition.

But yeah, there's definitely a lack of rides available late at night once the safari is no longer running and no one would want to get soaked on Kali.

They definitely run in it during the holidays for sure. They were running it after park close as well, which was nice.
