Early or Late seating?

The pro of late is more time in the ports. But if you're planning on seeing the nightly shows, that pro isn't as big because the show starts around the same time as early dining.
Another pro of late dining is less kids.

A pro of early dining is not having to wait so long to eat!! :)

If you have young kids say below teenagers then first siting is best, young kids do a lot on a cruise and get worn out and are cranky in the evening. If you are on late your kids might hit the fast food on the pool deck rather than the proper meal.

Also I prefer meal then show to let the food go done, if you eat later and then go to bed it's not good for you.

Both have good service, both have the shows.

Normally all meals are after you leave port so it doesn't matter which one.

I would say that Kate is best for adults only or older kids.

A lot is what you do at home.

If you eat at 8pm normally at home then have Kate, if you normally eat around six then book that.

Early is more popular and tends to sell out, if you want your own table there is a better chance on late.

I have read a couple of people comment on time zones but that doesn't work, 1 I travel from UK so in Florida we are five hours sheds and Alaska nine hours ahead. 2 kids etc will be up with the sun and adjust their day to sunlight, so quickly breakfast and lunch is set at local times.

Cabanas for lunch and alike are open 12 to 2 pm ish, if you are on early dinner that's a four hour gasp between meals, if on late that's six hours, quite a bps for a younger child.

Late dies have dine and play where after an hour kids are collected for the clubs, I like a family meal and they rush the kids through the meal on that, it's ok for some but not a true meal IMHO.

We've done both & prefer second seating. We felt like dressing for early dinner cut into our afternoon. The early show doesn't start until 6:15 plus there's an hour between the show & dinner. Sometimes I shower & fix my face before the show then we all change & finish getting ready for dinner between. Sometimes we just shower & dress for dinner between. Then again, we don't always go to the show and we don't always do the MDR dinners. Sometimes we just don't feel like sprucing up at all. LOL!
