Hey Gang, here is a poll and a question. I look forward to eating here and any time I get to Vegas. I just found out there is an EoS about 30 miles from me. Would I be nuts to make the 60 mile round trip once every four months or so? Its one of those things that reminds me of Disney. It would be like getting a taste without being there. Your thoughts.....go!

I love EoS, but I have only had it at DTD. I do not think that 60 miles is all that far to go. I love me some Holiday sandwich!

Since I've driven from Ottawa to Syracuse for lunch [almost 200mi each way], I'm probably not the best judge...

Admittedly, the lunch was also an excuse to meet up with @Laura and @NemoRocks and I likely wouldn't have gone just for lunch... It was a really good lunch! ;)

I drive about 60 miles each way on a day trip to Disney, and I won't lie I wouldn't do it just for EoS. However, we do pretty much hit it up at least every other visit.

Pet peeve: being told "discuss" or in this case, "go." My wish of the day is that instructions like that in original posts would somehow vanish.

in this case - as much as I enjoy Earl of Sandwich when at Disney, if making a 60 mile trip I would have to find some reason to visit the town in addition to the restaurant. But that's just me - if someone else wants to go just for the road trip and the food, please be my guest and without any judgment from here. :)

ummmm i am driving 77 miles to have it for lunch on Thursday. I am going to WDW and will not even be going in a park. We have a few things we need to do at DTD so figured we would make a day and do some shopping.

I will quietly admit I have driven 60 miles for krispy kreme donuts. We did not have any donut places where we lived and when it came to Washington state we road tripped it. There are no donut shops around. seriously. It was depressing.

But I am the type of person always up for a road trip. I say lets go!!!

I have never had EoS, but it is my goal to go there next time at least once!!

Every few months sounds reasonable....lol Make a day of it and do other things in the town/sightsee if there is anything.

And I can not WAIT to go back to Vegas to go to IN and Out burger. People think we were crazy for missing it last time...lol.

I never realized 30 miles was a long way to drive for anything. I drive almost that far to go to work every day. As @NemoRocks said, we drive much further than that to eat out at various places almost every week. I've never thought anything of it.

The sad part is this....its not in a town. Its part of a rest area in the middle of I-95.

Are you thinking about the one at Chesapeake House? I stopped there for DD coffee on the way back up to LI. It didn't look like there was a full blown menu like the one at Downtown Disney. The one at the rest stop is a downsized version.
